Not bothered where Newby comes from. He flatters to deceive. His final ball is consistently extremely poor. That, or it goes backwards, which makes him easy to play against.
I think the problem is that too many of our players aren't good enough. Occasionally they'll play a bit beyond their natural ability, but too often they are National League standard or below.
We aren't going to survive with talent, but by grinding out results, and with other strugglers failing to pick up points. Tough matches ahead.

People should look back to what a bad choice we have made in Managers.
The Board are doing their best but have little knowledge of how things work.
We've relied on a DoF who is a former agent and how has that gone so far.
I just seen on FB how the Rugby is struggling financially.
Luckily the Board have financed us God knows why with the stick they get.
Colchester went true to form we are their bogey team and Harrogate are ours.
We have needed a big centre forward for Rose and Gordon to play off.
I remember watching Barrow play Brentford early 70s .
They had a centre forward John o mara 6 ft 2 played 53 games scored 28.
Not the best but that big you could not get near him but like Harland a beast
Newby gets alot of stick because he is a local .
He makes chances but we don't have that big striker.to put it away.
Look at some of the experienced players first.

If you told me we would get three points out of the last two games I would be happy.
Dino has a lot to do but let's hope.

You say you don’t know why the board are still with us because of stick, and then give them stick in the same post because they make poor managerial decisions!!
You are a broken record with old fashioned centre forward types - name one in the L2 pool, or thereabouts, who has been available and might have wanted to come to Barrow. OK maybe Cole Stockton.
You’ve an undying love affair with Scott Quigley types. Largely they are just not available to us.

I would also. We also have similar footballing ability.
I bet you're stronger than him though. I've never seen a professional as weak as he is. A puff of wind would blow him over. Having said that, now that Canavan's struggling, there isn't a good player in the whole team and it is a by a distance the worst we've had since coming back into the EFL. It will be a minor miracle if this team avoids relegation because I can't see it winning a match unless it has a huge amount of luck as we did against Colchester when we were outplayed but they somehow missed a couple of sitters and gave us a goal.

Don’t know where this harper stick comes from, bloke controls the game when he has the ball, just a shame he’s surrounded by ( word that got me banned last time) 😉 but yeah, two diabolical teams that deserve to be nowhere near the football league, honestly never have felt this much disgust to footballers as I have this squad.

The trapdoor is opening and barring some serious ar$e kicking resulting in vast improvement we're going through it.
Not enough fight across the team. Thompson isn't good enough, Jackson ( how he makes the team amazes me) has gone completely backwards and Newby is the footballing equivalent of Forrest Gump ( tries hard but..)
Harper plays when he feels like it ( is Pogba his role model?).
We have Rose who sets the standard in both workrate and trying to make things happen, but we have little else.
When I played ( albeit at a much lower level) the plan included first tackle, hit em hard.Second tackle the same....this showed opponents you wanted it and you soon found out who fancied it and who crept into their shell for 90 mins.
We just don't have that.

Fair play to the manager realised after 30 mins the shape was all wrong. Earing was rightfully dragged he was having a shocker. I didn't agree with Barkhuizen coming off for Mahoney especially in a 442, Tom's ability to get to the by line and whip balls in should be exactly what the two centers forwards want, plus Mahoneys want to slow the play down all the time and mess about is irritating. Having said all that we looked a much better sides playing a 442 what I saw in the second half you could watch every week.
Takes us back to recruitment no right back on the books ties the manages hand. The gaffer is clearly prepared to do what it takes however which instills me with confidence even if we didn't get the result last night.

Is Fletcher injured? For me he can become a decent striker who out of all our options seems like the only one really desperate to score. I think it would be a shame if we didn't persist with him and someone else got him, reaping the rewards.

Maybe we need to stop telling the players these games are must win games as clearly thy can’t handle the pressure.

I think Thompson needs to be taken off he is not ready for league football

Harper & Mahoney [SwearFilter] off !!!

Fingers crossed for Saturday
Let there be BARROVIAN BEDLAM :scarf: :scarf:

This is a team that does not believe in itself and has no confidence what so ever, hoping Danny Rose and Gosh Gordon click and save our season , where was the fight we showed at Wigan? Still time to turn it around but must start soon .

I've said it before but there's something amiss with Canavan. He's supposed to be the bloody leader of this shower - wheres his energy both physical and in terms of his general presence and personality! On the goal, yes it was an awful backpass but as other have said Naz's man just ran straight past him anticipating the ball and he ust jogged back towards his own goal. He's not bloody interested and if your skipper is like that it soon runs through the team.

There’s been some utterly awful displays on show this season but that first 45 tops the lot, that was absolutely shambolic.
What’s gone wrong with Jackson this season? Just gone further backwards by the game.
Mahoney…..got some skill but my god, he offers nothing 90% of the time. Pulled out of a header in their box, total bottle job, no heart for a fight.
Harper I liked for the first third of the season but another that’s gone backwards. In his defence last night I think he was carrying a knock from the first half.
Thompson isn’t up to this level at the moment, that was a shocker of a back-pass, as bad as you’ll see all season. He needs dropping as much for himself as us!
I thought Raglan went off with a head injury, if so he’ll be missing on Saturday. I was told later it wasn’t a head injury but not sure.

We just cannot put a mini run together, others seem to be able to do that.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Not giving them stick and saying resign just pointing out how they have made bad decisions ,the proof is where we are.
Find one of my posts where like some have asked them to resign.

The implications is you think that the past appointments have been good look at out league position that gives you the answer.
