If we go down I fear for the club, we could do what york, Stockport and Scunthorpe did they all got relegated to conference north, WOOD OUT !Matty wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 3:06 pmZero point in changing the manager, the problem is clearly this awful group of players. Besides, we will need to save every penny we can get as the National League will be a huge struggle without league funding and the naturally lower crowds that will come with it.tictactoe wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 2:50 pm I cannot believe it. 0-2 up, looked at full time and 3-2. Absolutely shocking and can only see relegation. Didn’t see the game so can’t comment on Stanway today, but how he has been touted for a move is beyond me as I don’t think he is worth paying money for, more mistakes/bad games than good and time to give someone else a go. Defence also questionable so not just picking out Stanway but don’t know the answer to our defence problem as none of them seem up for it.
How long is this manager going to get?

It's about £250,000 that's it we'll lose well over £750,00 , it cost Oldham £3,500,000 to get out of the National League ( it's in their accounts) ,Carlisle have treble to what we can afford and they're struggling we'll be lucky to make top 10 !mall wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 3:12 pm"National League will be a huge struggle without league funding" what, is there no parachute payment now ?Matty wrote: ↑Sat Feb 21, 2026 3:06 pm

hell fire, didn't realise that !!
Re: Fleetwood Town v Barrow match thread
Can only think the only thing that will save us if we go down is if the club goes up for sale, if not a whole new restructure needs to happen if by some miraculous way we stay up.

Hate them all.
Re: Fleetwood Town v Barrow match thread
We could well be bottom of the league by 5 pm the way results could go. Can’t believe this is happening.
Re: Fleetwood Town v Barrow match thread
As others have said there was no lack of effort today. It's not the players fault that we have a squad which is inadequate in defence, midfield and attack.
Re: Fleetwood Town v Barrow match thread
There needs to be a whole restructure. All ok when we are floating around mid table as it gets overlooked but the club has no foundations. Don't start me off on this. It’s bad enough on the pitch.
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

I keep hearing that Wood puts loads of effort in, lives and breathes the club, takes on more than he should...well that's the plot of every Norman Wisdom film too, and the point was, he was [SwearFilter] useless at everything.

Re: Fleetwood Town v Barrow match thread
It’s not so much the defeat - we’re used to that; it’s the manner of the defeat which is soul-destroying. We needed to park the bus, keep it scrappy and see the game out like the professionals do.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
