Seems stange that there are people on the Rovers forum think he should at least on their substitutes bench.

Whitfield and Smith must be somewhere near fit now surely?

I find the Powell one odd, you’d think if nothing else he’d be on the bench so we have some pace going forward. But Dino sees them in training every day….

Adam asked Dino last week about Powell. He’s fit just not selected.
If it's the same interview I heard Adam included Powell (and Whitfield) in the injured group and Dino said "I can only pick who's available...", no mention of whether he was fit or not.
Don't let the old man in.

Not the same interview

In the pre match interview ahead of Cheltenham he mentioned that he is fit just not been selected

Whitfield was at Burton with Maarmria.
Never really got a look in.
Could be a hangover from those days?
Total guesswork, but I wonder

According to a source unsure if genuine or not as I take everything I hear with a pinch of salt these days.

But apparently he asked Dino regarding Whitfield & got the response I only want players who are up for the fight.

Dino had left Burton before Whitfield arrived

Mark Robinson was the manager who signed Whitfield

How bad can he be in training to not get in this squad…!

Many people on here have said that players are not giving enough and not fighting for Barrow's future in L2. If Dino feels he's one of them from what he sees in training so be it. That's why we have a Head Coach!

I suspect it's more a case of Dino opting to go with more experienced and physical players.

This. Powell looked quick at Swindon but still raw and along with Thompson and even J Anderson they’ve not played much senior football at all between them. It’s a big difference from youth and academy games the physicality and speed. Thompson has struggled in particular and J Anderson too. Not to say they won’t be good players in time but right now they’re not what we need.
H Anderson seems to be a different prospect he has the calmness and composure that the others lack.

Had Dino came instead of Gallagher our transfer window would’ve been very different but we are where we are now, let’s just hope it doesn’t come back to bite.

Yes let's hope we can stay up and Dino stays .
I think with this man in charge we will see different recruitment dies not seen to get ruffled.

Strange again tonight; back on the bench but surely with 20 minutes to go you bring him on and see if he can do any better, couldn’t do any worse!
And where the heck is Ben Whitfield FFS
