Unfortunately the team throwing the towel in for a number of months has destroyed us and they’ve become losers. Now suddenly they’re doing it for their ‘ mate ‘ and ‘ the time for talk is over ‘.

Our only hope is them so I have to be nice now unless they throw it in again which I wouldn’t put past them.

Who knows Saturday 3-0 win might start the revival

I think third bottom will stay up on 41 points (with GD crucial).

Our path to 41 points MUST include beating Newport on the last day. Then, we need 9 points from the 8 other fixtures. Three lousy wins!!! Then we have to hope one of either Crawley / Harrogate resurgence collapses and neither of them reach 42 points. We can’t afford to let our GD drop it really could come down to that.

Come on Barrow FFS

To me the small things in an organisation say a lot on how it’s run. Sadly I don’t think we can even get those right these days so I’ve lost hope of us staying up. Here are a few examples.

I always buy a programme to support the club. The amount of mistakes especially on the results page at the back makes me think no one ever prof reads it.
The fourth officials board never seems to work. You can never see the numbers of the players coming on.
I go into the crossbar after the match and the curtains are still drawn. Why ? surely after the game there’s no need and people are more likely to use it if there’s a nicer setting and they can see out on to the pitch.
The water to wash your hands in the toilets rarely works after half time.
And as for the history of the club board in the fanzone. It’s littered with mistakes. One is an extract from the Evening Mail showing us losing our League Status. I think from memory it says 1967.

Crossbar curtains shut after a game, mistakes on fan wall, water in sink FFS we are fighting to stay up here. Craig's already made his mind up….dear me. Maybe football isn't for you. We should be packing out HS these last few games. Feels like it’s the fans who have thrown the towel in, not the players.

Littered is a bit unkind. But there are mistakes, sure. The pic you refer to was simply, at the time, what we found online. A worse mistake is actually Daisy Bell is completely wrong. Theres a plan to sort them, as part of The 125.

I think though, in fact I know, we were utterly, utterly unprepared for a promotion to the Football League.

Much less one during a global pandemic, when because we had to wait for conformation, we werent even given what we were supposed to have in place in terms of organisation. We certainly couldn't hire anyone at first.

Then we had to attempt to somehow resurrect a crumbling ground in the middle of this, while off the pitch we were unable to properly prepare as a long drawn out wrangle over
IEs and team's departure played out. And the training ground was unfit for purpose.

The pitch was adversly affected by groundwork to the HSE and the neighbouring estate so much we had to bail put a corner.

After that...well there was the small matter of Covid, which meant that all bar a very few could watch us.

We had the smallest staff in the league, barring Simmo who hadn't been near it. And we were responsible for safety and rules during Covid while football continued.

Instead of counting our potential away games, and luxuriating in promotion, most had to stay at home. And were understandably invested on who was involved at the ground. Everything was scrutinised to the nth degree, with the least information.
.
It would be pretty difficult not to make a ton of mistakes. The little I was involved, I made bloody loads, I know that and sure, there are a few folk I would happily never speak to again. But we all did our best.

We aint done yet. Every second we cling to this league, limited as we are, structurally poor as we are, flawed as we are is worth wringing the most out of and fighting for.

No we ain't done yet, but reading the posts on here has made me think that its actually the fans who have thrown the towel in. Not the players. Where's the Barrovian grit and resilience??

Foley and co need to get their team selection and tactics right as the starting 11 on Tuesday was all over the place. We have a seriously tough run in with all these top half teams and the teams gonna have to push through for 90 minutes every week. MJ being back is a boost, hopefully Smith and Whitfield sooner rather than later 🙏 but we aren't creating enough chances and when we do we miss (look at McCanns absolute sitter on Tuesday)
I did not like the front 3 the other night! We need to set up to be hard to beat. 9 games to go, still in with a chance of staying up, we just need that win to boost confidence.

If theres any truth in this and we have 10th highest wage bill questions need to be asked about our under performance this season paying £76750 a week in players salaries pushing £4 million a year for that shower of shite so if we have a squad of 25 players that's over £3k a wk average salary roughly

It's been obvious for two seasons that we needed a Quigley type figure he got us up to the League and kept us in.
A decent midfielder similar to Rooney was. needed.

By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.

We kept being told everyone wants a decent forward and midfielder.
We only care about our team if you cannot bring in players you are no good in your job.

Yes we brought in the likes of Gotts ,Campbell and Spence but received nothing for them and never replaced them.
We managed to give some poor players long contracts but never had one of the three mentioned signed up in advance of contract termination.

Even the likes of Ogden our scout brought in Jordon Williams and Ritchie Bennett and even they left we received a fee irrespective of where they are now.
The number of Managers we have had is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
The poor recruitment and lack of moral is obvious.

I was a apprentice when I read on the way home that we had gone to a second vote with Hereford,my heart sunk.
We did not deserve to go out of the league.

It's looking like we may well do again and we will deserve too.
We look like a.team going through the motions with no heart for the fight.

There has been a big failing through naivety..
The recruitment team should be sacked at the end of the season.
People will move on and no doubt spin why we went down but this club has had incompetent or charlatans employed take your pick.

I feel this way as a supporter God knows what the Board who back us financially and are supporters must feel.

We must learn our lesson or we will end up as a Stafford Rangers falling through the leagues

To the players fight like your life depends on it..

Look we all know its not a manager thing, had to many for it to be that. God himself couldn't get a tune out of this team as it isn't good enough. We all know where the blame lies but that's for another day. Not a cat in hells chance of stopping up is the bottom line. Some still think its still doable mathematically but in reality its over now. We are sinking now to our natural level the National League.

Some good points from Aberdeen especially regarding the Covid era; they were strange days for every walk of life. The most crucial error in my view was letting the three midfield amigos all leave at the same time. That was a red flag situation which should have been managed out or at least staggered at all costs. Maybe the owners did all they could but it was a catastrophic situation which we all saw coming a mile off.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
