Same. Take a bit of the heat off Stanway, we did it before until Winterbottom got injured at Tranmere and Stanway had to come back in.
He's a young keeper and they do make mistakes, even Farman wasn't immune from them although his kicking was much better.
Dixon a few years was particularly error prone before he matured and cut them out.

He has saved us on a few occasions has Stanway but has also thrown a couple in recently last night, Fleetwood away...Winterbottom has never let us down and as Foley says we need the competition all over.

We wont go down because of mistakes at the back, we will go down because of our inability to score enough goals. It was the problem highlighted last season, and I don’t know what player stats they are looking at but that was not addressed in summer. Teams who struggle to score end up near the bottom, and here we are.

If we had two players who could score just 10 goals each in this squad, we would not be where we are. We have not got one single player represented across the league in the top 40 for goals or for assists, yet we've spent half the season bemoaning the lack of a right back and picking up on defensive mistakes. No wonder the defence is under so much pressure because we haven’t got a regular goal scorer or someone providing regular assists!!! That has always been the main concern being highlighted after 6 games!!

But if we had a right back and played 4 at the back all season we would have been more attacking……

Carlisle and Fylde most likely our derbys if we go down I think York an Rochdale will come up if we stay up we could have Blackpool & Rotherham in league 2 next season who would bring decent support just looked most prediction tables have us finishing bottom some think we wont pick up another point i hope not but we have tough fixtures against teams fighting for play offs Grimsby Oldham Barnet Chesterfield Walsall and Mk Dons and Bromley Cambridge going for the top 3 and Newport fighting the drop with ourselves ive seen enough of these players not missed a league game so i dont feel optimistic unfortunately they havent done it for 30 odd games whats goto change now 4/5 managers couldnt motivate them for god sake

It’s down to Wood like all the other crap decisions are! I hope he has a release clause written into his contract!

Did you go to Friday's meeting?, guess not unless you're calling the board liars they said the Manager had the final say!, and if you think that the January transfer window wasn't a disaster that will probably cost us our league place then please explain why ?

We haven't actually got a Manager, we have a Head Coach with people above him, and IMO this is the problem, not just with Barrow but other clubs at our level.

However I'm probably too long in the tooth harking back to a game that has changed so much, whereas I have stood still!

And for what it's worth I think the Board is doing a fantastic job, unlike some supporters who are now turning on them. To those people I say 'put in the time and money that the Board do!

Nothing's down to Gallagher. If he was given the final say on January recruitment that's not down to him.

But he's not. He's CEO. Paul Hornby has already said that recruitment of a DoF is a job for the summer.

So you’re saying thar we don’t currently have a DOF?

My interpretation of the Hornby interview was that Wood will act as CEO and DOF until we find a new DOF, which might be considered a luxury in the National League.

We don't NEED a DoF. It's a made up job at this level. We need to let a manager be a manager.
