As previously stated Rob Kelly is not the Messiah. He reckons those players were good enough to stay in League 2. I doubt he was right.

If you look at his career he has been at some decent clubs Notts Forest, Leicester , Preston and Leeds.
I think the man does not want to be a Managers but to be Assistant ,don't think he likes the pressure.
I think he has a wealth of knowledge and is a man motivator.
When he came back to help Andy Whing the rot stopped .
He left and we went on another bad run with Whing being sacked..
I honestly believe if he were here we would be out of the relegation zone.
He left and went to Reading in a far worse position than us and he has revitalised them.
Our problem is we've brought people in who do not have that experience .
We need to stop all this media crap and just concentrate on the job in hand.
We can still get out of this but the team need to fight .
Could be worse we could have a Management team of Donald and Nigel..
At present we deserve to go down the way we are spurning chances .

How many of these players actually care ? Or will 99% of them be looking for the next pay day come the end of the season....

Being paid thousands a week to jog about on the pitch. , wouldn’t mind if some of them actually showed some effort and desire to get us out of this mess but they all look lost and care free.

Believe we were on 20pts after 19 games when Whing was sacked. If we had repeated that form in the 19 games since we'd have been 9pts clear of relegation. Instead, we have won 9pts from the last 19 games. Absolutely embarrassing

I don’t get anyone saying we should’ve kept Whing, he should’ve gone in September when we had to employ Kelly to help him! He was out of his depth then and his signings bar McCann were garbage and are the reason why we are where we are.
The mistake is waiting two months more when Kelly helped paper over the cracks, and then appointing a Gallagher with even less experience than Whing despite Hornby saying Whing lacked the experience? And then wasting a whole transfer window signing dross like J Anderson and Thompson, kids who are no better maybe even worse than what we had before…

I hope you’re right but the last time Barrow finished bottom of the Football League was the 1970/71 season. The side that won the First Division that year Arsenal. Sadly it looks like history is going to repeat itself.

Cometh the hour... cometh the Sam. A player and human deserving of huge respect, he's clearly attempting to improve 'the vibe' and so attempted to draw a line under what was a gut-wrenching, atrocious capitulation. 'Eight games to go.' Jesus.
Less understandably, we were treated to 'the lads' and 'endeavour in training'. Once again we were asked to stick with it.

The thing is, we've no choice. We've stuck with shocking recruitment, crap statements, predictably spun fireside radio chats. We've stuck with 'the lads like him', an 'old head' and a 'specialist motivator'. Further back, we were expected to thank our coach for deigning to leave his family to do his job.

Facts. Structurally poor decision-making at board level, for the thousandth time under-investing with the back of house and giving too many roles to too few people with ever-decreasing credibility.

A Director of Chief Executive Football Operations Agent making it up as he goes along. Five managers. Five.

A captain plummeting towards retirement. Some players stealing a wage, others the wrong sort, in the wrong position, at the wrong time. Some brought in without experience, some crocked, and an underwater training ground and average 3G pounding hammies and Achilles tendons.

Stick with it. We will. To the bitter conclusion of this dispiriting season. As Barrow has since 1901. There are 125 reasons to do so.

Canavan has been poor last 2 seasons he was saved last season by Vassell and Williams and foley covering for him ! Been mostly a passenger and an imposter acting as a captain no wonder anyone who plays in defence appears to be unsure of their role he doesn't help them one bit drop him now!

I watched the game from the comfort of one the boxes as a guest of a Grimsby fan. So that was a bit embarrassing! The Grimsby defenders were organised and stuck to their man. Stanway really does need to learn how to kick against the wind (especially when his attackers are smaller than the opposition defenders). Our defenders were the opposite, and made it so easy. It felt like Grimsby were going to score every time they attacked - and they pretty much did!
I'm hoping for the best for our EFL future, but this performance didn't give me any reason to hope.

Watching the highlights back again if you can call them that, and the lack of desire from Anderson, McDonald to defend on the first goal is dreadful. The second no one goes out and lets the man run 30 yards to square it. The third we have 8 v 5 but they still find room. The fourth is another keeping howler and the fifth sums us up, two defenders favourite for the ball but too slow allow their player in.
That’s not skill that’s a basic lack of running and aggression, willingness to defend. If you haven’t got that you may as well give up and looks like we have.
