It’s been a bonus 6 years in league 2 for us, but we never really belonged there. It was a one of miracle thanks to Ian Evett, who promptly left us completely out of our depth in L2.
We simply are not in any way a league team and the faster we realise it and get back to our non league level, the better we will all be for so many reasons.
We will settle into the National League again, and we’ll be a strong team competing well once we have made the many changes we simply have to make. Would IE come back, would Dino come back, We can rebuild again, live within our means again, just be happy again. As for me I’m sick of the whole negative L2 thing Aside from a couple of bright moments, the whole thing has been a disaster. Good riddance ! I like many others have followed Barra round the country + both Wembley’s, for almost 50 years from my outpost in the Isle of Man. I always will……Thanks rant over

There lies the issue - this we don’t belong in league 2 crap - others have managed ok to grasp it and grow

The problem for Barrow has been trying to run a league 2 club with north west counties infrastructure and mentality. Commercially inept - square pegs in round holes on and off the pitch. Loads of money spent on the first team and nothing spent on developing players to sell on

We were successful with Ian Evatt because he refused to put up with that little barrow mentality shite.

We won’t be sustainable in the national league either and we will be a struggling national league team next season until we reach our natural level which is probably NPL or lower

You are on about negativity and post perhaps the most negative of them all doing the rounds. “lets get back to comfortable Non League where we won’t feel so out of place when we play Brackley and Tamworth” This is your opinion and your rant.

This season’s struggle has exposed the true mindset and mentality of so many Barrow fans. Everywhere I look it’s a mindset of negativity and “giving up” and now we have posts how it will be so good to return to the comfort of National League. Just incredible

Would agree with most of that Charlie, Except that I think we should be able to hold our own in the National league if the unthinkable but probable happens and if we recruit right🙏 but definitely need to grow off the field more and that also involves building slowly but steadily from within with a well thought out plan and that should also involve reaching out to the junior clubs and schools in the area as a long term project. But that’s going to be a big job in itself and will need someone employed by the club to drive it.

Unfortunately negativity spreads quicker than COVID!
But from everyone's perspective, the team don't deserve to wear the shirt they do and it's upsetting and distressing to see people who are being paid very good money (and get away with it to a degree) and destroy all the hard work the club has put in for many many years just to get football league status once more!
At the end of the day, they will just walk away, wallets full, whilst the club and fans are faced with reality and that reality is the probable never seeing football league for many many years!

It's also possible to avoid the drop but from what we have seen, this is a very very long shot... Sad times.

you never really do know, we could avoid the drop - doubt it - but you never know.
any way, if we do go down as is most likely, if the board play their cards right, we could well end up challenging to come back up.

To avoid any further embarrassment he’s probably not going to labelled head coach or announced. But a helping hand for foley. Welcome Graham, if it helps us stay up he can have the freedom of Furness, barrow and ulverston golf courses

I’m as pixxed off as the next person when it comes to this season, but I’m not giving up on them and when you start reading “the whole thing has been a disaster” relegation acceptance comments it becomes just a bit draining. Everyone is expecting us get beat Saturday, so let’s go for it. Give the fans a performance to get right behind them. Fight for everything, you never know we might win a game.

Someone said it's eight cup finals and we've been in a few cup finals before. The thing is if you've reached a cup final your team is usually on song and up for the battle. In this case it is not the case so I rest my case.
