Today was a day that shows the barrow that we all love and know.. its simple, show up and try.. today they did.. it's not a lot to ask for.

Now kick on and smash everything in front of us..

Bromley look crap as well. Just that 35th minute fee kick - woefully defended by Barrow - which gave Stanway no chance.

I thought it was a very good freekick. Not sure how it could have been defended any differently. Excellent delivery. For once I didn’t think any of our defence were at fault for that.
Thought it was a cheap free kick to give away though. Thought our player - Harper? Was caught out. Also thought Harper had a decent game today. Mahoney would have probably got my man of the match though; I did think Jackson who was given MotM had one of his best games in recent months. Thought our midfield were excellent at both closing down Bromley quickly, dispossessing them - and then also setting us up well going forward. Really good performance. If I’ve one criticism, it’s that we seem to delay shooting for too long sometimes. But who am I to say as I thought the opportunity had passed for first goal with all the silly dallying that went on. Earring has never impressed me before, but I thought he had a decent game.

Credit where credits due they all stood up to be counted today

Mahoney had his best game in a Barrow shirt. A battling performance weve all been longing for. Only downside is it should have been at least 4 not 2

Best performance of the season at home that they showed effort and strength and commitment today against top of the league well done let's hope we can take 4 points in our next 2 games please this could come down to the last game yet

I have to be honest and say that with us at the bottom of the league I did not expect to find myself at the foot of our stairs this evening. Astonishing. Knock me down with a feather. That was a proper team performance.

I am relieved for Josh that his refusal to put the ball into a gaping goal (and perhaps seal the match) did not come back to bite us. I didn't want to be telling people fifty years from now that this bloke Gordon cost us a crucial win and possibly blew our chances of surviving. Josh is definitely not the greatest striker I have seen in a Barrow shirt but he is one of the very few in this team who has been honest every time he has stepped onto the pitch and always puts in the commitment. Today, thankfully, every one of the players was honest for once.

I could only listen today* but you could tell from Adam's commentary every time Mahoney got the ball something was going to happen. I've not felt anything like that in a long time.

*I've only seen 50% of our home wins this season (Notts County and Colchester). There's a small part nagging at me to stay away until the season is over!

Ref was the best we've had at home this season.
Consistent, and not trying to show off as some of them do.
I thought it was the best performance of the season by the team.
It's so good to go away from the ground having seen such an effort.
It's still a hard road ahead, but those who chose to stay away - you missed an excellent and uplifting afternoon
