So sad to hear that news, a true Barrow AFC stalwart if ever there was one and a gentleman and character to boot.

RIP Ray.

Condolences to family

That’s really sad news! To say he was a Barrow stalwart supporter would be an understatement. RIP That’s a great caricature picture of him. Hopefully a Flag of that can be made by us?

You’re spot on Dodger, Ray was there in the thick of things just the other week at the Q and A. The term Legend is used many times loosely but not in Ray’s case he really was Mr Barrow AFC there was nothing he wouldn’t do for the club. Mr Sponsorhip. Deffo 2 min applause minimum.

Heard this very sad news earlier today. He’d always walk past us in the X Bar each home game, shake our hands (grip like a vice) and say “don’t want any trouble off you two today”

An absolute gent, a lovely bloke.

Sincerest thoughts to all his family.

RIP Ray.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Didn’t really know Ray that well, but what I did know was he loved the Football and Rugby with a passion.
RIP Ray keep cheering us on from on high :scarf: :scarf:

Very sad news didn’t know Ray personally but always remember him sponsoring players and man of the match awards. He was always good at selecting the best player for his choice. Thoughts with his family and friends

I didn't know him either but was aware of his level of support through sponsorship in different forms.

Clearly, a proper supporter. May He Rest in Peace.

What a great bloke. Loved both Barrow football and the Rugby. He deserves a massive send off from all sportspersons in the Town. RIP Ray. You’ll be sadly missed.

RIP Ray a true legend.

Hope there will be a fitting tribute to him at the Chesterfield game.

Tens of thousands of pounds he has put into the club over the years in sponsorship , corporate , donations etc….

Will be missed behind the dugout Ray with the words of wisdom.
