Unfortunately one or two or more back room staff may go but we do need somebody with a footballing background in the hierarchy at the club imo the owners don’t have the time or experience imo and wether it’s a head coach or manager set up they need some serious help. Owners haven’t got time to be sorting transfers and players contracts out they are first and foremost business men in their own right

I'd pull MJ aside, tell him he will be captain from this point on, that we will build the team around him next season, ask him what position he wants to play, tell him the majority of the team will be transfer listed and then get in a manager post-season that agrees with that.

Agreed he’s part of what’s wrong with the club really. I had hoped his return would stiffen us up towards these last few games and whilst you can argue he’s not helped by some of those around him, he and Canavan as two of our more experienced players and leaders haven’t led, haven’t demanded enough and haven’t shown enough individually. First goal yesterday we need to do more to stop the cross and it shouldn’t come in, Williams lets his man go and then turns his back and it deflects in off him. It’s fine and well saying not good enough afterwards but he and others at times could’ve done more on the pitch. It comes down to desire, commitment to want to defend and attack the ball and keep it out. We haven’t had that fight all season really. Think of port vale away last year and the attitude then. Third goal as well we’ve got two big centre halves in there and they still get a header in although Stanway should save it. Second goal split apart by a simple through ball.

Clear the lot out as much as we can and start afresh regardless of where we are although national league now seems inevitable.

We are where we are because we haven't had any long term strategy or stability across our six seasons at this level. We've had no consistent approach to recruiting managers or players. As a result of this we have been stuck in a firefighting mentality that's never allowed us to put bonus income from things like the Villa and Chelsea cup matches into anything other than paying off managers and signing more players.

I've never been naive enough to think we'd stay at this level forever. But I did think we'd use this once in a generation opportunity to slowly build some infrastructure that, if we did go down, would give us a better chance of returning to this level. That hasn't been the case unfortunately.

Mentioned this many many times, but whilst all is ok on the pitch it gets pushed back, “stop being negative” “enjoy it whilst we are here”etc, but if you step back and look at the club there is no footballing structure outside the first team, no youth set up, no academy, no women's team. We’ve had 6 seasons, to put a plan in place to grow the club, link with other amateur set ups across the area. There’s little to no appetite to explore opportunities with Team Barrow. We have the smallest social media following across the EFL…
If we go down, who within Barrow is going to say “Barrow should be in the EFL”, in the way Notts, Carlisle, Stockport see themselves. The perception around the club is very much non league. That will only ever change if we have a structure and culture that demands success.

Thats just a nonsense article. Some of those you save with a trailing leg, or an outstretched arm. He's done both this season.

I don't think think he could have done much more, the first, unlucky deflected, the third, he’ll want to forget,
