There’s not a chance we’ll get anything at Cambridge next week. Today was the day we needed to step up and get a win.

There will be all sorts of daft results in the league you just never know

If it goes to the last game we have a chance if not we have got ultimately what we deserve

Nothing from this game fella. There’s no way they will mess up their chance of an automatic promotion place against us.
We blew any chance we had today and even with my bluest tints specs on and my glass half full of hope I think that’s it for us. That performance today has knocked out cold any optimism I had left.

We shouldn't have to rely on other results just how many chances do we need? ,Harrogate, Crawley, Bristol Rovers, Gillingham and today unbelievable the goals we concede ,it is what it is now perhaps relegation will make our board focus more on how to run the club ( football wise) for too long our recruitment/ playing style and choice of Managers has been underwhelming, a total reset is required!

Absolutely disagree about going down, I get what you mean but I dread the thought of another 10, 20,30 plus years because we won't just come back up.. hate to say it but it's true.

After the heroics of Tuesday, to this today absolutely sums up our season! We do have decent players, they just don't give a shit and it boils my [SwearFilter] that they get paid regardless!!!

Whatever happens next season, I don't want to see any of them in a barrow shirt because they are all part of a group of players who have absolutely taken the [SwearFilter] out of us, the board and club..

This team is not barrow, not by a million years, we've had some rough rides in the past but by Eck, they still had balls and fight.. this lot..there are no words!

Cambridge will undoubtedly have a lot of the ball so we need a plan for how we can hurt them on the counter attack.. Gordon should be very rested for this type of game.

There's something seriously wrong if after 3 days rest we play like that I'm not buying these excuses anymore it's about desire, commitment and giving absolute everything we've absolutely got no backbone or leadership on the pitch!

The momentum and desire should have been there..it just wasn't!

When I used to play, not at this level obviously but the games couldn't come quick enough when you had passion and fight.. this lot are paid athletes.. or that's what they are supposed to be.. sorry mark, they should have come out on that pitch foaming at the mouth!

No surprise in this catastrophic season that we followed up Tuesday's miracle win with a totally dead performance. Gordon is a long, long way from being a great striker but one thing I will say for Josh is that he gives 100% every single time and, in his absence, not one single player picked up the baton in setting that sort of an example today.

No surprise that McCann was picked as MOTM . . . because he definitely wasn't. He had as bad a game as any of them. For me, it was probably the much-maligned Stanway or, failing that, the young lad Malcolm for the one and only bit of outfield quality we showed all afternoon. Pace? He showed it. Something we've seen precious little of this season.

No surprise that some of their players might have got fired up by an alleged racist remark (apparently now retracted) but why, after a bright enough start, did we get fired down after that point?

No surprise that Harrogate got a 99th minute winner (can we see what might be coming there . . .)

The way the keeper acted, it was like he heard something. It was reported to the referee, who reported it to the fourth official.

I sit in the main stand, so nowhere near the Holker Street end, where the accusation was made.

If something was shouted loud enough, for the keeper to hear, I’d imagine almost everyone in that section of the crowd would’ve heard it too.

Did anyone hear anything?

It’s mentioned on the barrow FB group by a few people, a kid said something that was miss heard, plenty of people stood around heard nothing in the nature of discrimination. I think the clubs would have made an announcement by now if it had been upheld and confirmed.

Another damp squid and rather predictable after Tuesday's heroics. Ninety minutes of get rid was not what was required today against a team in training ground mode. There have been so many such gutless home performances this season that have absolutely stunk the place out. Conversely there have been a few gems with Bromley and Oldham being the most recent.

We need organisation, a methodology, stability and consistency for next season and the right personnel to bring this about.

Absolutely this. They should have been massively up for it. We huffed our way through the game at 0-0 and when we went behind that was it.
There was one instance late in first half when a 50-50 challenge went for a throw in mid-way Main Stand side, the liner flagged it in our favour and the Walsall player contested the decision vocally with passion- basically a nothing ball in the middle of the park that went for a throw to us. It may be nothing in the grand scheme of things but for me it’s that sort of individual passion that we don’t have enough of. I don’t think that determined spirit is out there that separates the sides. Where is that passion in any of our players today, that will to win such an important game?? Even at the final whistle there was no one flat on their backs reflecting on a missed opportunity. They were back slapping the opposition and all hugs.

Agree.. how many times have we seen out players contest a decision like the opposition do?

Goals were soft but Stanway saved plenty that flying in. Easy MoM.

Malcolm might be worth a start, depending how we go at Cambridge. Try and hold out or go there and go for it who knows what the right way is.
