Whits has been a committed player when he hasn't been injured. He is usually quality too. MJ has been played out of position but still puts it in. Newby is ALL effort (20 minutes he was on the pitch against Oldham and set up two goals).
Other than that, pack of [SwearFilter].
Jackson, Stanway, Mahoney, McCann are the worst of the lot. Damn. I forgot Canavan. He has been a disgrace!

Whits has been as poor as anyone this season very disappointing. I would keep MJ build a team around him. Newby is not EFL level but like his brother may shine in National league.McCann will be picked up by another EFL club for an undisclosed fee and go on to do well. Came to us in October but the only glimmer of a shining light when played higher up the pitch out of a crock of crap IMO.

How would you play next season? Go all put and spend a fortune whilst there's parachute payments or be level headed and aim for a steady season an regroup to challenge the year after? So many teams bounce right back but so many go down again. Its hard to change the mindset of a core squad thats quite frankly spineless

Not many but teams do but it happens. Do you suggest we just don't try because its fairly rare? How many go back to back relegations, not many but it happens

Have you seen the calibre of the national league this time round? Fcuk sake.. we can barely get our shirt the right way round, let alone muster points on the field.. absolute farce of a season and tbh..I'm just glad it's all but over.

The way we have played it's as though we have been running the club down and accepting relegation.
I think we are lucky to have the board as it's a thankless task.

Now I wonder if we will go part time to save money,?
The way contracts are written could some of this dross be made to go part time and this encourage them to move on with no cost to the club

I wouldnt pay Newby in washers, absolutely no heart, scared to tackle, scared to head the ball. We need committed, physical players. Hes awful at best

Well that just shows how opinions differ. i watch him run at defenders, repeatedly be our best outlet and even chase back 60 yards to tackle (yes, tackle) an opponent. He was the main reason we were in that game with Oldham.
Him on the left with Whits on the right is our best chance. If only we had a forward who could finish!

Only 3 I'd keep is McCann, Rose, Fletcher, the rest can go....

It's the club that needs to be able to trigger release clauses Jonty. I just hope the contracts say that the club has the right to end them without paying them up if we get relegated.

No doubt once our fate is sealed the Board will make a statement on their vision for the future.

IIRC Hornby was quoted as saying the club safeguarded themselves by having wage reduction clauses inserted in contracts in the event of relegation.

We should never had let Farman go. Always a naive move.

He didn't want to go but our DOF knew better along with the other ridiculous decisions he and the board have made.

I hope he's sacked but he won't be.
