Let's hope we don't have silly kick off times or change the days at shirt notice again like they did previously!

I bought 3 papers to check it was right.
Here you go, Pedro, 3-7 it certainly was! Yes, I realise we are slightly off topic here when the thread is about Carlisle but, hey, a 3-7 away win is worth remembering and hopefully I am forgiven!

I would add three points regarding the EM article below. Firstly, I was speaking to Johnny Martin about this match when he was in hospital and just a few weeks before he died. It was a poignant moment when Johnny told me it was a big regret for him that there was no movie-footage of this match. Secondly, EM reporter Mike Young still travels through to Holker Street for just about every home match even though he now lives on The Fylde. Top bloke is Mike, and clearly a very dedicated supporter to travel those distances to watch us. Thirdly - and a little tangentially - there is a little reference at the foot of the article to Jimmy Connors . . . Jimmy was at times a bit of a cocky and arrogant so-and-so BUT, bearing in mind our "passionlessness" in so many matches last season this was a sportsman the like of which I have never seen equalled in terms of a one milllion per cent never-say-die attitude. He even used to have a note inside his sock which reminded him to never, ever, ever give up. What an attitude and something we lacked so badly last season.

Thanks and those days you had quite a few locals in the team.

A lot of Carlisle games will have been moved because like it or not they are one of the biggest clubs in the league (probably the biggest now) so it’s a chance for DAZN to sell some subscriptions
