Elliott Newby

Now we all know a lot of fake news on Facebook but I’ve just seen a post saying he’s maybe going to Morecambe? Admit I haven’t read all messages on here lately so apologies if been previously discussed. Any truth?

I'm hearing this all over the place too but nothing official to date. Lively and quite exciting player but a total lack of composure in the penalty box. He would perhaps become a more effective player for us in the NL but maybe a change would do us both good. Lives in Morecambe I hear so would save thousands on petrol.

Had his good moments in a Barrow shirt but plenty of poor ones. Never seen a footballer so scared of a ball. Was apart of a squad who finished bottom of the league and threw the towel in , we don’t want these types of players move as many on as we can.

Will be 31 in a few months , so contract length wise we probably want to be moving on with bringing the age down like Murray said. Good move for both parties though if the rumours of a 3 year deal at Morecambe are true.

Time to move on

I heard the same as I was assessing how I was going to escape the greenside bunker on the 10th.

Showed flashes now and again but never consistent enough for me. The caveat there was that he was always played as a wing back as opposed what I thought was his natural position of an out and out winger.

He needs a fresh start IMO and he would go with my best wishes.

Never sure what his position is tbh but will probably do well at that level. Hopefully we get a few quid for some of these contracted players who are moving on, as well as more importantly getting them off the wage bill of course

I think getting the numbers down so we can bring in players AM thinks are better suited is the main objective. If Elliot can get a three year deal elsewhere it’s a no brainer.

His brother Elliot, 12 goals in 31 midfield appearances for a good York City side. Not scared to tackle or be tackled unlike his older brother. We signed the wrong one.

I think you’re getting confused with his imaginary pet dragon. As his brother is Alex.

I hate to be a pendant but it is the silly season so here is my tuppence. You can be older than your younger brother by 5 minutes or 5 years unless it is a leap year.

You'd have to be a super-optimised to think we'd get a fee for almost all of the players who we want to get rid of!
