It's funny how the Barrow fans seem to hate him but he can get a 90 thousand pounds transfer bid. Obviously others clubs know a good Goalkeeper when they see one
He’s not hated; it just irked a lot of fans that he made a lot of mistakes post concussion and yet still kept his place

As was said in the first post on here Stanway moving to Cambridge is a rumour, nothing more.

If Stanway goes to Cambridge he will be a bench warmer as the current keeper is not likely to get dropped.

Keepers at this level are ten a penny and we’d do well be get a worse one.

Close to, but the 250k offered in Jan is a distant memory. A loss of 230k in 6 months isn’t ideal business but good luck to the lad staying in the football league

Who offered £250? The figure quoted on here at the time - with no club mentioned - was nowhere near that.

Adam, if we accepted the offer why wasn’t he sold ? Presuming Rovers must have changed their mind ?

I found it hard to understand why he kept getting played last season despite his constant mistakes, after the Fleetwood game you could see his confidence was down and he should have been taken out the limelight then.
Really think most other managers would have identified this weakness and used another keeper as teams just targeted Wyll as an obvious weakness but he continued to get picked.
If Murray and his new goalkeeping coach look back at his performances they must have some doubt as he cost us more than he saved us.
Having said that we don’t know if Winterbottom or Barrett are any better and whether they would have fairedany better with that poor defense in front of them.
Personal opinion is we need a change of keeper but wish Wyll well wherever he ends up.

Because as it has already been reported Bristol Rovers and Wyll couldn’t agree terms
