If you want to have a pop at him, just remember that nobody on here could, or would want to, fill his boots.
If I’m wrong, get yourself on the board.
Always such a lazy argument. You can (and we are) be very thankful for all the investment the board have made but also criticise them, last season did not need too happen but it’s clear they took their eye off the ball and then made bad decision after bad decision to try and rectify it

If it ain't broke don't fix it !,The alarm bells should have been ringing when we started to talk about league 1, nothing wrong with ambition but we weren't even an established EFL team with no resources to even fund this level of Football, without trying to sound defeatist, I think last season has brought everyone together I feel we're now on a road to doing things together!, only time will tell!, bluessupporter time to let go mate we look forward!😂

First of all I would like to thank Paul Hornby for not deciding to throw the towel in when you look at some of the abuse him and Tony Shearer got.Without them we would not have a club and yes they made mistakes because they put their faith in so called experts and left them to run the club.Thank you for puttng everything out there warts and all.
Now that,s been said we can all put it to bed moving forward, hopefully with better season to look forward to.
Thaks Adam for this interview which was really revealing.I think it was needed to settle everyone's mind.as to the club's future

Sounds to me like the board/ian wood got caught up chasing more (play offs) rather than building solid foundations for a league club to function

They probably did that to save you from a court appearance!

I have a screenshot from the Google Index but others have confirmed that they saw the post...

Thanks for your comment, nige, but there is no grounds for a "court appearance" on my part.

Let me break this down for you...

In a recent Evening Mail article and BBC Radio interview, Paul Hornby has openly admitted to lying to paying members at an AGM.

Many have posted on here, regarding his comments at that meeting, on Iain Wood and other subjects. All of the above is a matter of public record, not any form of rumour or innuendo.

Allow me to refer you to Jamieson Law....

"Under the Companies Act 2006, directors must act honestly and promote the success of the company for the benefit of its members. Falsifying information or lying is a direct breach of these duties."

Now lets look at The Law Society...

"Deliberately misleading stakeholders to gain a financial advantage or cause loss to investors can trigger criminal fraud charges (e.g., under the Fraud Act 2006). Furthermore, organisations can be held criminally liable if they fail to prevent fraud committed for their benefit."

Hornby's confession is just one evidence of criminality within our football club. Whether or not it represents the tip of the iceberg, is a matter for personal opinion, which is protected by the European Convention for Human Rights.

legislation.gov.uk says...

"You cannot be successfully sued for libel or slander if your statement is deemed an "honest opinion". Under the Defamation Act 2013, this defense requires that the statement must be something an honest person could have held based on the available facts."

I make no bones with Ste Story (or whoever runs the forum) for moderating. However, I fear people, inside and outside the club, are increasingly being pressured by the Hornby regime not to speak truth to power.

Apologies for the long post, but hopefully many of you agree that the issues raised warrant concern.

Just for the record... I haven't deleted any posts, nor have I had any pressure or even contact regarding content on here from Paul Hornby.

In fact when someone pointed the above comment out to me I checked and prior to just now I haven't even logged into the forum since Monday...
