Re: Hartlepool v Barrow match thread
Get Kouyate & Barkhuizen back in the team could take us too the next level, what`s the point in both running down their contracts.

Barkhuizen could be useful but Kouyate would take us down a level not up a level!behind the goals wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2026 10:50 am Get Kouyate & Barkhuizen back in the team could take us too the next level, what`s the point in both running down their contracts.

No it doesn’t
Re: Hartlepool v Barrow match thread
A fit and motivated Barkhuizen would be an asset and it looks unlikely now that anyone else will take him. Is it too far gone for him to come back and be involved? Not sure exactly what happened end of last season but by all accounts there was a fall out.
Kouyate has never been a footballer.

Does make you wonder how Everton ever scouted him.Scott5 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2026 12:24 pm A fit and motivated Barkhuizen would be an asset and it looks unlikely now that anyone else will take him. Re: Hartlepool v Barrow match thread
Having watched some of Adam’s interview with Adam Murray done yesterday Murray’s openly admits still having players still on the books that have no future with us is hindering recruitment. I guess he means Barkhuizen, Earing and KouyateWalneyOne wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2026 12:26 pmUseful how exactly?russell_anderson wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2026 11:46 am Barkhuizen could be useful but Kouyate would take us down a level not up a level!

The 1 year option on Earings contract was taken up by the Club can someone explain the reason behind it, at least the vast majority of this seasons contracts are till June 2027.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2026 3:24 pmHaving watched some of Adam’s interview with Adam Murray done yesterday Murray’s openly admits still having players still on the books that have no future with us is hindering recruitment.
