Murray is a young Manager who will want to succeed it's not as though he is at the end of his career.

He has come to a club with players on long contracts and he obviously thought he could add to it

It's early days Cameron gives a 100% but I've seen faster things on Blackpool Beach.

Smith was a disgrace not scoring with the chances he had.

We keep being told we have a big side.
The second goal was lobbed over our defenders head.

They should have had a penalty and a free kick on the edge of the box.

We've needed a forward and midfielder since Quigley and Rooney left.

I think he will turn it around and can see us at best finishing mid table.

We need to attack the ball more when it comes out they just are static .
Carrying to many players .
All the media hype though reduced unlike last season were it was like the band playing on the sinking Titanic needs to be stopped.
Just get it right on the field.

Decided to wait and think about yesterday before putting my thoughts.
Personally I thought the 1st haf wasn't that bad, we had 1/2 chances and definitely were the better side. 2nd half and they madeca change and it got them into the game. 100% both goals were our defenders fault (1st goal as good as it was because of the strike) was our fullback giving the ball away 1 min earlier and the 2nd our defender went to head it and it bounced backwards. Shots at goal were none existent apart from the pen!
I've not agreed with the 2 games starting 11 (thats my personal opinion) surely walker and Whitfield could start. Reid injured? and Rose on the bench both games.
We've played one of the league favourites and what looks like a surprise package yesterday with 2 wins from 2.
Things need to improve obviously and it doesn't get any better with a trip to free scoring Harrogate next week! 9 teams with 1 point or less so we're not in panic mode yet but wheres the team that beat Mansfield and Blackpool ?

Wow that Murray interview at 2 games in is very concerning. He’s blaming everything - club, player mentality, last season’s players, hangover from last season etc etc. Everything but himself and new recruitment. I also dont like the body language - he cant look into the camera, there must be something very interesting going on to his left as that is the only place he can look!
Whingy did a similar interview last season during the bad run where he threw the players under the bus and he never came back from that.

Exactly this, he appears to be void of any accountability, it’s like paying someone to build a decent wall for 2 months, then they blame the weather when it gets knocked down.

I’ll be relieved when we reach 45 points, double relegations are not uncommon, Hornchurch have what we didn’t when we were promoted momentum.

We have to get a grip of this league and fast, we are not entitled, every team will want the Barrow scalp so let’s get behind the team and manager to ride out the first couple of months and see where we are.

I would liken his demeanour to someone who is being interviewed a few moments after witnessing a bad car crash, That isn't intended as a joke - his mind would be scrambled after seeing all the work he and the team have put in pre season crumble before his eyes.

I think this identified a problem we have with squad depth in certain positions which will cause issues if we don’t know what formation we are going to stick with. I’d much rather had Barkhuizen come on in his natural position. If he is being left out in the cold then I can understand why he might not have featured.

That being said we have 8 defenders on the books, with more aside who can cover if needs be. These are vying for a max 5 positions but likely to be 4 at the back for games also meaning less resource required.

Kouyate and Barkhuizen aren’t required/wanted it would seem, which leaves us with 3 wingers. For example we have x3 left backs but 3 wingers all in for both flanks if we exclude those on the unwanted list.

We are on about another striker coming in on loan which would leave us top heavy for strikers if we play any variations of 4231/433. 4 strikers for one starting berth. This variation means we only have one option on the bench out wide higher up the pitch.

If we get another striker and play 4 at the back next week then we could be looking at 7 plus players not required.

Seems like we’ve built two squads for two set ups and we can’t decide which one to go with.

So unless they are refusing to play ( so surely we can cancel their contracts) surely Murray will either have to bite the bullet or we'll continue to fall down the league due to no money for extra players.
It's about time this current situation is explained because if they are being disruptive ( not my words) then shouldn't they have been thrown out ,it's an absolutely ridiculous situation we are now in !

Not sure on Earing but he’s never set the place alight here, another crap signing by Whing yet for some reason he got another year contract - make that make sense. Sums the club up over the last two years. Obviously didn’t impress Murray pre season he had a go at him during the Mansfield friendly to get stuck in. Smith is equally poor but least he’ll get stuck in I guess.

Murray has decided Barkhuizen isn’t in his plans but he’s better than most of what’s here and if we can’t offload him then we have to use him for me. Unlikely now that anyone will take him either now. Last season has gone and Murray hasn’t got the luxury of being able to drop and ditch players in our predicament.

We were like a deer caught in the headlights of an articulated vehicle once that first goal went in, players and supporters alike. Two big sides that mainly cancelled each other out, capitalise of mistakes at any level and you reap the rewards. Ok there was half a mistake leading up to the first goal but that was some strike to score., the second well it was head in hands stuff.
For me the balance just wasn’t right yesterday, Cameron ploughing the lone furrow it was obvious after 30 mins that he needed Whitfield or Rose just off him feeding the big man. Marriott improved things slightly after his introduction but creativity is definitely a missing component. Whitfield was wasted on the right.
If we are going to be looking at grinding out results then we have to be solid and resolute at the back workmanlike and probing in midfield and sharp as a tack when the big chances do fall our way.
Much work still to be done and confidence to be built upon. Keep the Faith.

Barkhuizen may be better than what we have, but imo will never be seen in a Barrow shirt again.
Murray has said he's surplus to requirements and doesn't strike me as an " I'll eat humble pie " type so whatever our shortfalls are Barkhuizen will not be a part of any solution, at least whilst Murray is in charge.

Not the best start to the season and disappointing we have nill points.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Murray in his previous job started bad and supporters all slates him for tactics and interviews.. but look how their season unfolded.

As much as we all hoped for a max points start, Rome wasn't built in a day and we have to be patient.
Alarm bells are not needed just yet and I do think we will improve and start to get points in the board.

Barkhuizen was the poison in the squad last season so it would be more than a little surprising if that was to happen. The football world talks hence why there has been little or no interest in him

Accountability is completely absent at all levels of the club. No-one has transparent responsibilities that they're held to.

The way our club is, I'm beginning to wonder if the "bad apples" are actually the ones speaking truth around the place and the charlatans are continually throwing them under the bus.
