Barrow v Yeovil Town match thread
Re: Barrow v Yeovil Town match thread
Can’t quite believe that only I can. So much good work tonight but never looked comfortable at 1 up we panicked. Still had chances to win it but to lose like that off a free kick is absolutely criminal. Shades of last season again there zero game management or ability to see a game out. If you don’t take your chances that’s what happens.

Centre half’s were outstanding the whole game. It’s up top we are embarrassing. They can only holdout so long

Why did they run away from the ball for the winner like?Big_Bluebird wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2026 9:44 pm Centre half’s were outstanding the whole game. It’s up top we are embarrassing. They can only holdout so long

That's a stinking result as to the way that unfolded. I can't comment on the performance but that outlook confirms the losing mentality is still rife throughout the setup. Shaking it off overnight was never going to happen but unfortunately it needs to happen soon. It is the crowds I fear for the most.
The answer still isn't changing the manager by the way, as that just compounds the situation and we'll never get out of this endless downward spiral. But's it's another massive realisation as to the task Murray has on his hands.

Re: Barrow v Yeovil Town match thread
What is it with us and giving these late goals away. Been the same for months now. Bloody depressing
Re: Barrow v Yeovil Town match thread
This. Kalambayi and a Digie were pretty solid. Two lapses one for the pen by Amos was it, and then not marking the winner have cost us. Not sure it was a free kick but criminal defending. Even then we had chances to equalise. You can’t not score from that amount of chances and expect to get anything. Thought it was a red last man foul for them in the first half but can’t cry about that now we killed ourselves.Big_Bluebird wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2026 9:44 pm Centre half’s were outstanding the whole game. Unfortunately results count and 1 point from
12 and 4 goals scored and 8 conceded is the reality. Not good enough.

Can’t score goals when on top. It’s all down to that.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

It’s no good us saying how did we lose this. It’s what we keep doing. Proper losing mentally. Unbelievable.

Defending awful yes but I don't wanna slag them tonight. First half excellent but lack of goals absolutely sums us up over the last year. Somethings got to give at some point
Re: Barrow v Yeovil Town match thread
The thing that frustrates me the most is that we cannot create any momentum. We get a much deserved equaliser last week and it creates some positivity around the camp and some optimism that we may turn a corner. It doesn't last a week. As good as that equaliser against Harrogate was, losing in that manner tonight is almost twice as bad in reverse.

How many late goals did we concede last season? Just feels like the norm now,
Overall thought we played well. Decent passes plenty
Of fight, but the stark reality is that it’s probably gonna be another 50 years before we see EFL football again without a dramatic change in how we keep a lead.
