Unless it’s not his choice it baffles me Harper and Jackson are still here, I couldn’t think of two less Adam Murray type players

A M said of Harper at the Q & A there is a player of undoubted ability in there, we just needed to bring it out of him. We see fleeting glimpses now and then and then he’s struck down with the doldrums the same can be said of Jackson except we have seen him perform decently but his form fell off a cliff and is another lost soul struck by The doldrums it seems to be all consuming.

Harper has undoubted ability but has been on the bench for three games now and is obviously not fancied by Murray. He just doesn’t show it anywhere near enough and that’s probably why he’s gone from championship to non league in what four years? Same with Connor Mahoney.

Ben Jackson actually started off great for us two footed, could cross and tackle. He’s a shadow of the player that he was and needs a fresh start. Obviously no one else fancied him hence he’s still here.

He has been on the bench. Murray spoke about him last week to Adam saying he was one who was told be best to find another club but Murray praised him saying he had got his head down worked hard in an effort to prove Murray wrong and as a result has been in the squad on a couple of occasions

Murray must have personal gripes clouding his judgement if he won’t pick Earing etc. Clearly can’t do any worse than his mates he’s signed that have got us into the national league relegation zone.

100% agree with this. They should have been the 1st 2 that were told to find another club. Both have been awful for a long long time

We just cant go through the same cycle of getting rid of managers though. What happens if we get Wild in and it doesnt work? Get rid? We need a manager for at least a full season. Whether Murray is him i dont know.

I honestly believe give him 3 matches max and if we haven't got at least 4 points he has to go because we can't let the gap between safety and mid table get too long ( not even considering the playoffs )

I’d agree. One win in eight is awful and he’s been full of excuses about us playing teams at the top, not getting the bounce etc. data says we’re doing a lot of things right id love to see this data.

This is his team now and if he’s calling some out already that’s not a good sign. His body language after Tuesday was awful he stood finger on lips for ages at the whistle looking lost. His interview was a blame everyone else other than he partially admitted dropping MJ deeper to get more control didnt pay off.

We don’t want to keep chopping and changing managers especially after last season but it’s looking like another poor appointment and not a total surprise given his record. Something drastic needs to happen for the better on Saturday or it could get ugly and already we are in another relegation battle.

True, Wild is the closest we have become to stability, for a while. However, we had one good season, then a pretty good 35 games in the second season, but he was responsible for that dreadful collapse at the end when we threw away an almost certain playoff spot. Who knows what might have happened if he had stayed. Then he had two half seasons at Fleetwood and was sacked after 13 months, then an interim spell at Tranmere. I doubt very much whether he is the Messiah.

At least Wild understood Barrow, although he hated travelling the 590, which I can empathise with. Although he had a large number of moaners on here - whats new - he tried to put together a hard resolute balanced team who when the opportunities arose could play decent attacking football at times. Coming 8th & 9th in the league showed the progress being made. After Wild - nothing. The plan if you could call it that now is just be hard and hope for the best. But we do have some good players here such as Marriott who was highly thought of at Alti. For me getting rid of Rose and possibly Whitfield is alarming and sends out to me at least all the wrong signals. Barrow are a team when successful both in the league and non league who are hard, resolute with that bit of flair. I see none of that now. Compare Cameron (who works his socks off) to Peverill and of course Cowps. That tells you everything the way things are going unfortunately.

I remember when Wild left and Clemence came in and Wood was crowing about how much more attacking football Clemence was going to play, a new style and goals galore - Clemence just looked at him...
Whatever happened the tail end of that season and whatever peoples opinions are on Wild and I'm not saying he's the best manager out there, but no one since has come anywhere close to him and therefore you have to say it's a huge mistake.

Agree with the above and also having gone from a midfield trio of Spence, Campbell and Gotts to Scott Smith and Rekeem Harper...also shows where we've gone and are going.

Totally agree here.. we all want the same thing and that's a winning team. It's been a poor start but waving the white flag now would be a disaster full stop

It’s one thing being hasty and another flogging a dead horse and doing the same thing looking for a different outcome…
I thought we waited too long to get rid of Andy Whing last year he should’ve gone around this time when Rob Kelly was brought in.

I was all for giving Murray time and patience but I’m worried after the first 8 matches that he’s taking us backwards and I honestly can’t see where the light is. His signings bar two or three have been poor. He’s alienated and got rid of senior and respected pros. He’s called out last seasons players yet they’ve nearly all gone and those left are his choice, and yet we serve up arguably our worst performance in some time at Solihull. His tactics, shape and personnel keep changing. It’s not clear really what we’re trying to do and if players aren’t following his instructions as he says then that’s even more worrying at this stage.

No doubt the effort him and the players are putting in. I just think he was a dubious appointment having no real credentials at this level, and that’s shown on his signings and our results and performances so far.

Wild created an identity of working hard, pressing and counter attacking with some decent football at times and we competed. Murray so far has created an identity of kicking and wrestling people. He’s said himself he’s not going to change as it’s got him success. Maybe at National north it did but he got sacked last time he managed at national league level.

Problem with many is we focus too much on what we feel is wrong rather than focus on the small but important bits that are actually improvements on last season.
We have to be realistic and to think we are just going to turn into Madrid over night is too much with regards to expectations.

I do think Murray and the team will start to bare fruit and with so much of the season to go, panicking and constantly picking at the negatives will only not just drag us as supporters down but will also bring the team down to, it does feed into the field despite what people think and it does impact players.

Murray said and is right, the negativity is rife within the club.. we can all continue to pout fingers we can all criticise decisions, we can all carry on blaming each other but the reality is, we have lost our ability to be good football fans!
The atmosphere is shit at home, we used to be loud and proud no matter what.. now we just seem numb and quiet.
Negativity is like a cancer, it's spreads, it's not good and until we all (support, players,owners) change the mindset, it will never get better!!

If you all want to carry on the witch hunt with the owners, I suggest you consider re mortgaging your own homes and start investing!
They have admitted mistakes, will they learn from them? Time will tell but for now let's stop the bull shit and speculation and back the team, the club, owners and each other.
