For all things Barrow AFC. Keep discussions civil and fair, we're all Barrow aren't we!

So does being one of the top earners mean you have to be picked?

I know a footballer wants to play but some would say it’s not a bad deal if you can earn high money for doing very little.

If that was the case in your job would you want to go or just sit it out until the end of your contract?

On the Maamria point if he had a transfer window we would have seen a lot of turnover.
Agreed. I get the feeling Maamria gave some home truths that some of the players couldn’t hack.

I think Williams could be gone after listening to that ,he talks about poison / openness let's get this straight that NDA with Pete Wild didn't help anyone if our club had done nothing wrong then someone explain to me WHY THEN DID WE AGREE TO IT ???
There's one ingredient that this team lacks ( I'm not interested in xg or performance stats or training ) it's about having quality when we had gotts Campbell Spence George ray MCcelland I never worried about how we'd perform I usually felt fairly confident but like the previous season, I don't know which Barrow will turn up unfortunately we need more that people running around that's surely the base you work from!
Anyway thanks Adam very good interview keep going we're all sick of this but surely maybe today we get a slice of luck/ decision that goes our way !🙏

As good as AJ is I think Murray is an open book, could be good for him being like that it could be his downfall only time will tell.. The bottom line is we need results starting today

I’ve always been under the impression the NDA was more wanted by Wilds side than the clubs. Maybe the club agreed to it and in return Wild took a. reduced pay off but the finer details we will never know

No one would agree to an NDA if they were innocent and why let money become part of it ? we didn't need it at that time and also the mantra from the club is transparency /family club etc that NDA left a cloud over everything when they both left ,I sent a message to Adam Temple wishing him and Pete all the best he responded with Nige I wish we could tell you what happened!, I'm not making this up ! yeah he could be just being nice but WHY would he even bother to answer me !?
If anyone doubts me I can show them, I am open and honest ( probably too much) but like Murray I ain't changing now ! 😂

Just got ‘round to having a listen. Interesting stuff indeed. It certainly does sound like there is something rather rotten in the state of Denmark. Difficult to ascertain precisely what, although the gist seems to be that those in charge have had the proverbial taken out of them by some of the players. We knew there were some bad eggs, but he’s giving the distinct impression that they haven’t all been rooted out yet and have been at it again, particularly this week. We suspected that ‘player power’ had probably done for both McDonald and Maamria but it must be worse than we knew. Couple of points re. ‘leadership’ and then new players (PK etc) making this group theirs perhaps hinting at an issue with Williams. Good to hear this honesty. There are still some questions over recruitments, team selection, formation etc but we’re going to have to show some patient here because, if we do anything rash - as we did multiple times last season - it sounds like we’ll be back in the mire even more so than we are now. A win today would go long way to easing the tension for a bit mind.

I think it is refreshing honesty that the low standard of the physio work was mentioned by amt Hornby at the meeting.People naturally wanted to know re problems behind scene and I have always thought thi he pecks his words carefully that he is telling us as much as he can.At the moment we are in a scrap and although I don’t like all the shirt pulling by most teams we need to fight and scrap to get up this table .If the tactics are not pretty but effective that’s fine by me.We are Barrow not Barcelona and I liked his interview honest fiery and determined.
