Well that was painful. If you score 4 goals then you deserve to win, but we were naive, not brave enough and defended like amateurs at times. That was probably the worst refereeing display I have seen this or last season, and he contributed to the game becoming push me pull you event. Had he cracked down on al the stuff that went on in the first half, it would have been a far better game of football.
Well done for the result but if that is your normal style then I'm not too sure I would want to watch it regularly.

I'm sure you'll be up there this season but surely you can't expect teams to turn up and play the way that suits you.

Brilliant old school ground, a pleasure to watch football, cracking noise, was difficult but like the team we stuck in and at the end it was Youll never take the Barrow reverberating round thr ground.

Game plan worked a treat, weve got an identity. Punk Rock anti football. I will happily watch horrid aggressive beautiful pacey brave football every week!

We'd have been ripped apart if We'd have attacked you but the plan is to disrupt try to keep in the game and then we bring on our super subs, we've drawn with Kidderminster, Harrogate beaten yourselves and Aldershot and battered Yeovil but lost !

This is the way he's going to play, against every team. It’s aggressive, in your face, going to draw a lot of negative comments, but if it get us wins then that’ll do. How this works out for us over the season remains to be seen, no one will want to play us. Something might just be happening here with Murray. I’ve never seen a Barrow side go into players like this and we've also got goal threats from all over. 4 different goal scorers today, albeit one a big deflection

A big shout out to Dan Mooney today. We’ve found the player who you believe will do something when he gets the ball.

Arian Allen looking like he will beat his man every time as well. Deserved a goal.

Well I didn’t see that result coming. First half we rode our luck Southend could have been one up but we unsettled them.
It wasn’t pretty but it was effective and Southend struggled to create much second half until they pulled one back to make it 2-1
Listening to Southend manager Kieron Dyer he had no complaints saying defensively his boys were not good enough and Barrow executed their game plan perfectly
Murray expects Tuesdays game to be a completely different type of game and with both clubs having good wins today it has the makings of a great game

I don't think I’ve seen a Barrow side work as hard as this for a long time. He’s got them super fit that’s for sure. This is why some players just didn’t fit his style and work rate. You've literally got to leave it all out there. Rakeem Harper- transformed under Murray.

Has Scott Smith got a ban for 5 cards? The websites I've seen have him down for 4 yellows but I recall someone saying he got one off-field in the Worthing game which these sites don't match up with, so is that why he's not on the field/bench today rather than because of injury?

Smith got booked at Worthing while not on the pitch and last week v Aldershot if the Worthing one is counted he would have missed today for collecting 5 Bookings, after today Marriott(4) is now one away from a 1 game ban.

It's a points based business in fairness . I would rather rough out the games and come away with a point or three than lose out all together.

Playing slick attractive football and winning games is an art, we were lucky under evatt to have both but after last season, I don't care if we kick the opposition into row z, so long as we take the points.

We have to be realistic, it's the conference at the end of the day and to do whatever to get the [SwearFilter] back up into EFL .I will take a brawl every day if the week.

Nice ground btw.. you have a great support, I'm sure you will do ok this season but I'm grateful for the points

It's refreshing to see Jonty , some scrap to the final whistle! Any fan in the land would want their team to do the same but for us, I hope the town wakes up and shows the same fighting spirit.

Slightly jealous that we face teams that get 6, 7, 8 thousand a week at home and it's sad that we can't do the same. History and circumstances played there part for sure but we deserve far better than we get
