Re: Ben Jackson
We saw it at the start theres a player in there. Just fully devoid of any confidence. Hope for the clubs sake and his own this loan works or it might genuinely be a sign he's not going to make it again
Re: Ben Jackson

The only person that can fix Ben is himself.
Hopefully he will get the game time he needs in a position he wants to play and he knuckles down and gets on with it, the rest is up to him.

Re: Ben Jackson
I agree many me included were waxing lyrical about him in the first couple of months when he signed. Form drop off confidence went and he has struggled ever since_bluebird_ wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2026 4:18 pm We saw it at the start theres a player in there. Just fully devoid of any confidence. He was open about how he fell out of love for the game when at Huddersfield and his own mental health issues.
I really hope he does ok at Radcliffe as if he doesn’t I can see him walking away from the game

Re: Ben Jackson
Terrible player, just awful. Defender on his mother's side. I hope he likes it there and doesn't come back.

Re: Ben Jackson
By all accounts, if anything he was paralyzed by self doubt and beating himself up, rather than lack of effort. Ive absolutely no idea whether or not he is good enough but its been a disaster for him and for us. Football is a horrible industry.
I don't feel the same way about him as I do to some others of that shower, so, best of luck.

Re: Ben Jackson
I think he got some unfair stick at times.
There was certainly worse players than him last season. I think he was also partly a victim of circumstances he came in started really well, good crossing and popped up with the odd goal but after Chelsea away and the decline began, like the rest of the team he struggled. Remember him scoring away at port vale when we got battered second half but defended heroically and won 1-0, but last season he was nowhere near it. There’s a player there wasn’t aware of his issues I know he had a baby not so long ago too. I don’t think he ever lacked effort and for that reason I wouldn’t be too harsh and hopefully he can find himself again.

Re: Ben Jackson
I think he is a good player (as he showed in spells) and I don’t think he was one of those who didn’t care about the club. I think he was probably a victim of the chaotic management of the club over the last two seasons and I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes good in a new environment (just a shame it can’t be with us, as Rakeen H has done). Good luck Ben.

That team performance at Port Vale was epic, with Paul Farman having the game of the season. Oh for such days …Scott5 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2026 8:57 am I think he got some unfair stick at times.
