Dave Leitch.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dave Leitch. Many of you will have known Dave, who was one of the founder members of the National Supporters' Club, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. He held office for the whole of that time and was the Membership Secretary for as long as I have been a member, which is over 25 years. Our AGM will go ahead as planned this coming Saturday, though it will be a less formal affair than usual. All NSC members are invited to join us in the Crossbar at 11am to remember Dave. Our meeting will be followed by the Trust AGM at noon.

Andy McKinnon,
Chairman, Barrow AFC National Supporters' Club.

Sad day indeed, I saw Dave as recently as the Southend game. He went everywhere to watch his beloved Barrow AFC.
Thoughts are with his many Bluebird friends, rest Well Dave.🙏

Very very sad news about Dave, a proper gentleman and all round good guy. The AGM will feel very strange without him in his seat smiling at everyone.

My sincere condolences & thoughts to his family & friends.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

It's mentioned in the RIP thread, but I think Dave is worthy of a thread of his own. I sincerely hope they hold a minute's silence for him on Saturday.

Below is a snippet from the programme for the Division 4 match v Gillingham on 8th April 1972 (with Dave's name spelt incorrectly).
