Both are confidence players. At the moment, Tomlinson gets my vote, until his form/confidence dips and then Deasy will get his chance again. I like Deasy' he's a great shot stopper but like Tommo, prone to a blooper. It's great to have 2 pretty good keepers fighting to be number 1. Whoever plays, it's alright by me, as long as they play to their potential.

:D

best post on this thread so far! it confirms what i kind of said that neither deasy or tom are that good if you compare them to martin
sorry to drag this up but its true afta watchin tomlinsons display yday.

ive read that a ball came at him hard, it was on the deck no bobble - the 1st did bobble but am sorry u change ya body shape and deal with it! - i felt he should have punched the ball like he usually does but decided to try catch the ball which cost us a goal!

maybe give deasy another try or look out for a better goal keeper because he cost us yday!

as Robbo would say "he's shit him"   - i missed Robbo yday and i would have agreed wiv him

So, if people question the managers, its fine for you to get on your high horse and criticise them for it but its ok for you to criticise a goalkeeper on the very same board?

I guess you must have inside knowledge that Tomlinson doesn't read the forum do you, or is it just a classic case of double standards fella ;)

not really double standards, i didnt get were all the crap was coming from tho for D&D if i was honest, we had played well in certain games and got nothing and vice-versa - re: getting rid of management in a closed period was just stoopid! however re: tomlinson ive watched now for serveral games and hes been awful a lot will agree wiv this - its slightly different for players than managers as we have cover - so all i am sayin is if tomlinson if off form (which he well and truely is) change it and get deasy in - my original post on this thread was that neither are that good when you compare them to alan martin - simple things yday wiv tomlinson cost us the game, you cant hide from this - as for the ball coming at him quickly is utter sh1te - if he's not confident on his left then kick the ball out for a throw inn with his right, lets re-group and defend = yes matey boy put a decent cross in for one of there goals but he decided to catch a ball at full stretch, why not punch it out to the side? as i say all the time, its easy on the sidelines but as a defender knows the last defender is the goalkeeper, its was very clear yday that the defence didnt want to give the ball back to tomilinson - to me thats shocking! you should be able to use the keeper - hes not there to just catch the ball, make saves, hes there as the last man!

and tomlinson doesnt read this forum haha..

bye the way am not asking for tomlinson to be sacked or released am merely sayin that hes off form - and people were asking for D&Ds heads!
