Their words add a lot to the entertainment value to the game. I appreciate that we have them compared to listening to several away game commentators.
Agreed.

Adam is well-prepared, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Goody is straight, says it how he sees it, talks a lot of sense and has great throwaway lines.
I was in Harrogate yesterday evening and driving home about 20.15 I listened to commentary of Harrogate v Leyton Orient. It was very poor. The summariser/co-commentator in particular just kept repeating himself and gave no tactical insights or illuminating comments. Dan Jones scored with a looping header to get Harrogate back into the game and I think he must have said at least 10 times that the goalkeeper should have done better to save it.

Incidentally, Dan Jones then did another looping header, but this time back to his own keeper. It was intercepted and Johnston scored for Orient.

I was only listening in hopes of getting a score update from Barrow, but no other games were mentioned. Another thing that we get from Adam's commentary.

I am more than happy for teams to underestimate us, it works for us. Our pitch doesn’t look great, but Colchester’s looked good and was bobbly as hell. And any criticisms of the ground, then they should realise how lucky they have been over the 48 years we have been out of the league, with all the money that brings. It has really struck me on iFollow just how much investment some grounds have had while we have struggled in non-league. Well done everyone!
I've just waded through 53 pages of tears....

It might be "Little Old Barrow", but who ended up with the points?

A repeat at their fantastic stadium, on their carpet of a pitch for the last game would be the sweetest thing. Especially if it robbed them of a play-off spot.

I regularly read other forums as it’s a good way to find out about upcoming opponents and also to see their views on playing us.
I must say that reading those 53 pages of self centred Southern entitled tripe makes me feel proud to be Northern and a Barrow AFC supporter. Most forums have their share of idiots (as do we!) but in general you normally find a balanced opinion overall - but the rubbish on their postings of Little Barrow, Tinpot Stadium, shocking pitch, shouldn’t be allowed in this league makes me laugh. We are in the same league as them by right - no team is playing in the wrong league - they are where they find themselves by the performances and points totals that they achieve and look who took the points last night.
In most likelihood we will return to their ground after 49 years with our league place safe for another season and they may well need the 3 points in their promotion/playoffs chase - and in the words of Keegan “I would love it if we beat them - love it!!” and consign them to another year in L2 and playing little old Barrow again.

Ultimately its a perception that exists and we need to be rid of . That can only be done be becoming an established league club again. That will take time, but its there.

Not to mention f***ing up in the play-off final three times in the last four seasons. We might have done all those fans a favour, might not want to put themselves through all that again.

Part of it is the ground. As we've been out of the league for so long it's undeniable that Holker St looks like a non-league ground (because it basically is). Hopefully another few years in the EFL will see Holker St keeping pace with the team on the pitch.

Baring in mind there is a genuine excuse for our pitch (the machinery on the HSE) we haven’t exactly been playing on carpets elsewhere all season have we? There’s plenty been at least as bad especially over winter

let's be honest if they'd have beaten us 3 nil they wouldn't have mentioned the ground or the pitch I'm glad I'm not as fickle as them 🤣 !

Just watched this interview with Quigs again. The bloke sounded completely at the end of his tether. Sounds like Jolly and the players just weren't on the same page. To watch that now and realise we've taken 23 points from the next 13 games is ridiculous. Shows we always had the players, but not the manager.

Loved the comment on their forum comparing Adam and Goody to ' Last of the summer wine ' and the old Hovis advert. At least it was different to the endless drivel about the pitch etc.

It was very unfair on Exeter last night - making them play on that pitch while Barrow were playing on a lush, immaculately groomed surface.

Oh, hang on...

That is so painful to watch. I said at the time that he did not look in a good place.
What a difference a few weeks can make.
