My thoughts exactly! It is obviously a sensible precaution for anyone with a sore throat and a temperature to self isolate, but to stop everyone else in that business from working would bring the nation to a standstill in a few days. If the individual had tested positive, I could understand it.Barrow Buc wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 9:11 pm If the national league had called off all games at lunch time I would have accepted this. Because one person has self isolated in a team resulting in a game being postponed then I struggle to understand this and agree this is an easy excuse. Interesting this self isolation has only become apparent after the nl lunch time meeting when games for this weekend were given the go ahead. I can’t imagine large businesses in the town closing the doors because of one individual that works for them self isolating.

Re: Easy excuse
There are many many people who could end up out of business because of this, I am concerned massively for my own business and also my family. If the country goes into a semi lockdown I'm screwed! There are agency workers, self employed and small.businesses who will not get any help or support from the government. These could be the darkest days of a generation if it Carrie's on. The media and world leaders imo have caused hysteria and blown this way way out of proportion! You can call me selfish or narrow minded or whatever as there will and there always are deaths due to flu, viruses and infections but it's a small number in the bigger picture isn't it? Have there been many deaths of fit and healthy folk? Unfortunately it does and will hit the people with underlying issues but so does the annual fluJim wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 8:49 amMy thoughts exactly! Common sense would say if you were unwell, you would stay at home surely? The talk of closing schools for example, will all kids stay locked up at home? Will they eck..they will all be out in groups, maybe taking a McDonald's or KFC.. surely better at school? Fresh air is surely better too?
I don't have the answers but it is worrying
