Barrow need more home fans to attend we have come a long way since our National League days but we should be looking at least 4,000 plus what the away team bring don't know if that figure will ever be achievable, but if we want success in the future are home crowds must improve.

I’d be genuinely amazed if we ever averaged 4,000 home fans in this league. Tbh I’m still amazed we get the crowds we do, have grown massively in such a short period of time, and in that period of time the club hasn’t really done much to grow attendances (quite the opppsite at times but we won’t go down that route)

Fully agree. I think we’re on unstable ground should things go negatively next season.

The "going to the Soccer" culture has had to be rebuilt since rejoining the league. A decent second year's average to watch a struggling team has been twice improved upon alongside results improving and more being 'bitten by the bug'.

I disagree that the club hasn’t really done much to grow attendances (quite the opppsite at times but we won’t go down that route). Early availability of season tickets at a decent reduction of cost plus shop discounts for their holders, the discounted half-season and ten-game tickets, good use of social media, the weekly newsletter and website to promote offers and attendance at games, special themes to certain matches, getting players into schools regularly to meet pupils, promoting mascots and flag bearers (whose families then also attend), creating a family atmosphere - all these things add to improve interest and commitment. It has similarly been good to see the way that players have related to youngsters before and after games. Bluey adds to the experience for our young supporters, too (and is often a source of amusement for those who no longer qualify as young.) Improved catering, bars, toilets, retail, ticket purchase and entry procedures continue to tip the balance further to the positive.

Results at a continued or higher level will see attendances climb further. It is possible to pick holes in the average last NL attendance and the fact that this season's incomplete average may improve or worse but worth noting an 83% improvement between those figures. Realistically, who could rule out that improvement getting to c125% which should put the average home attendance above 4000. (Answers, please, on the back of a postage stamp.)

Talking to a councillor, he reckons the population of Barrow could grow by about 10,000 in the next ten to fifteen years. This could mean another 300 plus on the gate, so in ten years if we have a good season, I predict 4,000 average.
