Attendances a few stats
Had a few spare moments ( I haven’t got a life, plus it’s quiet at work ) so I had a look at our average attendances over the last few seasons.
This season we’re averaging 3,689.
Last season - 3,492
21/22 season (first when fans were allowed back into all of the games ) - 3,202.
19/ 20 The last in the National League but a few matches weren’t played and because of the importance of those games we would have expected large attendances in those last few matches - 2,010
18/19 - The National League season we played all of our home games - 1,375.
It really is amazing how far we’ve come in such a relatively short time.

Re: Attendances a few stats
Hi mate, appreciate the stats!
Is that overall attendance, or purely home attendance?
If the former, it would be interesting to see what the average home attendances have been over the last few seasons.

Apologies, I mean home attendance excluding away fans (so it's the number of Barrow fans in attendance).
I know they release this information on the day, but not sure if it's ever documented anywhere online.

Re: Attendances a few stats
They only release the overall attendance on the day but announce the away support which is included in that figure
They don’t announce separate figures for each

Who remembers 2,010 for 2010?FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 9:40 am Had a few spare moments ( I haven’t got a life, plus it’s quiet at work ) so I had a look at our average attendances over the last few seasons.

Re: Attendances a few stats
I have a spreadsheet where I deduct the away fans, for purely home fans, league games only, I get the average to 3,350.
La lucha continua...
Re: Attendances a few stats
Would like to see how the average away numbers visiting HS stacks up against the rest in the league. Does it exist?
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Would have thought our average attendance will go up for this season with Bradford and Mansfield and maybe Newport might bring a good following. Swindon also have a decent following.

Barrow need more home fans to attend we have come a long way since our National League days but we should be looking at least 4,000 plus what the away team bring don't know if that figure will ever be achievable, but if we want success in the future are home crowds must improve.
Re: Attendances a few stats
I think 3,350 is pretty decent for a town this size.behind the goals wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 5:06 pm Barrow need more home fans to attend we have come a long way since our National League days but we should be looking at least 4,000 plus what the away team bring don't know if that figure will ever be achievable, but if we want success in the future are home crowds must improve.

Bradford won’t bring more than 600 now they have nothing to play for. Grimsby travel well could be 600 plus especially as it’s Good Friday and I’d expect Mansfield to sell out their allocation.32mile_cul-de-sac wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 4:54 pm Would have thought our average attendance will go up for this season with Bradford and Mansfield and maybe Newport might bring a good following. I’d be genuinely amazed if we ever averaged 4,000 home fans in this league. Tbh I’m still amazed we get the crowds we do, have grown massively in such a short period of time, and in that period of time the club hasn’t really done much to grow attendances (quite the opppsite at times but we won’t go down that route)behind the goals wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 5:06 pm Barrow need more home fans to attend we have come a long way since our National League days but we should be looking at least 4,000 plus what the away team bring don't know if that figure will ever be achievable, but if we want success in the future are home crowds must improve.

You are amazed at our current home support what crowds in the EFL were you expecting.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 6:08 pmI’d be genuinely amazed if we ever averaged 4,000 home fans in this league.
