Bromley
Re: Bromley
Me and my grandson are coming up. Always try to get to the last home game of the season. Ironic we are safe and so many people moaning. Do you really want to be going through what Tranmere, Accrington & Carlisle are going through? Turn up cheer the team on & say our goodbyes to some of our players who've generally done well for us over the last three years.

Re: Bromley
Personally don’t want you or anyone else with your negativity around the club. We should all be there like it was the first match, the players have turned it around, and we are finishing in a very respectable position, show positivity not negativity. And as for players staying or leaving, people are just guessing as usual, and as per most topics discussed on here always edging towards negativity.32mile_cul-de-sac wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 8:03 am Barrow on the beach, Bromley a very very outside chance of the playoffs but do bring the leagues top scorer in Cheek to Holker Street. Hard to get motivated for this one and wouldn't blame anyone for not attending. Probably another 0-0

Harsh that Des. Having watched the last four games there has been a gradual drop off in intensity. Seems to be part of the human condition. If you are not fighting for something or against something there does seem to be a relaxation reflex in the brain. Only takes performance levels to drop 5 or 10 per cent and you get a Tranmere like game.Desmond2-2 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 8:02 amPersonally don’t want you or anyone else with your negativity around the club. Andy Whing is one of the most focussed guys I’ve come across and even he can’t inject passion into the situation. So the Bromley game probably will follow the pattern. But I agree. Fans should turn up to give the team a thank you. Just have a natter, maybe a beer and don’t worry too much about the game.

Totally agree SB, but we could all say ,”oh whats the point nothing to play for” and 500 turn up, wouldn’t reflect well on the club or encourage players/ staff/owners to stay,or attract new players, would it.

Re: Bromley
Do the players on Contract all get paid in full till June 30th thats 8 weeks after the last game, even that is a large amount of money to pay out so to say the players have been on the beach the last couple of games and still getting paid in full isn't a bad life.

Re: Bromley
True. It’s a worry. I have never thought that way. But I’m a dinosaur. The values of a different generation aren’t the same. If you can’t keep people constantly entertained these days something else will. Loyalty it seems has to be earned by the club and not given freely by the faithful. From the Chelsea game onwards the loss of momentum did nothing to capture many new fans. We have just drifted.Desmond2-2 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 10:17 am Totally agree SB, but we could all say ,”oh whats the point nothing to play for” and 500 turn up, wouldn’t reflect well on the club or encourage players/ staff/owners to stay,or attract new players, would it.
The appointment of Whing, a real positive, has really only served to illustrate what might have been. Real hope for next season. But this season has been a mess. The task of reengaging popular support starts all over again.

Referee for Saturday is Oliver Mackey who was in Charge for the Grimsby game which was Andy Whings first game, let`s hope for the same result.

Well said, the amount of money the owners have put in, the least we can do is contribute back.Desmond2-2 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 8:02 amPersonally don’t want you or anyone else with your negativity around the club. Re: Bromley
Whatever 'mood' the players might be in tomorrow there is no doubt the gaffer will be desperate for a win and revenge over Andy Woodman. Bromley beat Solihull on penalties in last seasons play-off final at Wembley
