TBF, most teams do well initially when promoted because they have 'momentum'.

That will undoubtedly be a factor to some extent, but just as big a factor is that the gap in quality isn't very big.

Poor manager appointment IMO, we still haven't won under him in a competitive game, its been pre season and apart from Holker old boys we haven't won, says enough.

Don’t think we were as bad as a lot are saying. We missed a hatful of chances and they scored from another terrible giveaway in a dangerous area. Things have to improve but the comments on here are a little hysterical.

If anything I think we're trying to play too much like last season. The possession stuff can be good to watch if you can find the final killer pass. We don't have anyone in the squad with that footballing brain who can spot that pass early and execute it. With that in mind, try something different. We need to grind out some wins even if that means going more direct.
I appreciate what Dunn is saying about it being hard to attract players to Barrow, but that's his job. He needs to believe in the club and sell it. There's a lot to offer, we're a well run club with ambition and can offer a stable income when others might not have that luxury. It's a great time to attract good players to Barrow.
Not given up hope by a long stretch because we could easily have more points on the board. We should be on at least seven points and mid table.
Although it's not a massive step up, it's been harder than I thought. Mistakes get punished, opposition is fitter and have more quality throughout the team, there's not been many weak links in any side we've played.
We've got some poor players in the squad that need replacing.
I don't think we'll be relegated.

Wrong we beat Sputhport. I agree he is a poor manager.

Kay heads in at the end and we're mid-table.
We're about as bad as we were five games in last season. To say we're the worst in this league isn't just wrong, it's [SwearFilter] stupid.
And how is Luke James getting criticism from some, yet those same people are saying nothing about Angus' non-contribution to the season. Barry was woeful today too - the 'old' players have been equally as bad as the new.

Sorry, that's BS and we all know it.
We saw much better National League teams come to Holker St. last season than we've seen this year from League 2 teams. All have been very average, even poor.
Dunn is making a pathetic and lame excuse for his own inadequacies and failings.
'Dunn and Dusted' is really saying that he hasn't a clue how to turn this bad situation around.
Not the type of leader anyone wants.
Rather we need a Churchillian-style leader, who stands-up to adversity and and vows to fight on and achieve victory by sheer blood and guts.
I don't want to hear any defeatist talk, that our League 2 opponents are too good for us.
If that's who he is as a man, we need to show him the door.

That's two of the classic desperation quotes attributed to Dunn in the space of a few minutes "Having to be more ruthless" and "Difficult to attract players". These are not great signs and are both poor excuses and reflect self-doubt. Not good.

Also now making usual "Barrow excuses" about not being able to get players in. Starting to sound a bit lost already.
Wouldn’t suprise me if the Board drove some of these signings though like James and certainlu Beadling due to having a Barrow connection.
Dunn starting with the excuses already shows he's feeling the pressure.
Re the bod, if any of that is true which i doubt then why not bring Alex Newby in who is now playing L1 footy?
This will sound weird today after that showing or lack of it....But i believe we have the players to do well this season ie lower mid table if the gaffer can inspire them, Dunny go for if it fella before you dump more pressure on yourself, less crabbing sideways & backwards & show some spine & bluudy go for it.....Otherwise the pressure on you (which is self inflicted) will become too much.
