Agree with that Al.

I'd rather Paul Cox take his time and bring in exactly who he wants in the summer rather than feel rushed and sign some players in what can be a notoriously bad time to sign people.
How come everyone was saying that the squad needed strengthing ie midfield striker and now everything is hunky dory hey hope I'm wrong but 2weeks ago people were going mad about the tranmere Halifax performances?

I never said it doesn't need strengthening, I said we have the squad to stay up.

I hope you are right because there's some tough games coming up and yeah we beat a poor welling but cox himself said he needed players in etc. (With all the usual clichés )and nothing has (yet)materialised just hope the squad we have have the stomach for the games ahead!

The team needs a major overhaul for us to be anywhere near a top ten club, all I'm saying is I don't think (and never did) that we would get relegated.
My other point is I'd rather hover around this position for the rest of the season and let Paul Cox go for who he wants (or is able to) in the summer instead of grabbing x amount of players just because people want to see a few new faces.

I think you knew what we meant Nige!

The reasons are simple - they are currently being paid beyond their talent. Not good enough players for other clubs to match their remuneration at Barrow. Not one of them will want to take a drop in wages by moving on, or being moved on.

The thing that worries me is once that window closes we are left to the mercy of a squad who have been criticised (quite rightly )by Paul Cox and a lot of them know their time's up just hope that they are as committed as we are to the club!

Perhaps he'd like to play for us for nothing for the rest of the season !
I think if Shola turned up at Barrow I would spontaneously combust with excitement, most favourite footballer ever.

Both Kidderminster and Chester have apparently enquired about Jamille Matt from Fleetwood, but baulked at his wages - will Casson stump up?

I was really impressed with what Paul Cox had to say after the Tranmere match.

“The time for talking has stopped now for me at this football club,” said the AFC manager, who has been in charge for six matches, featuring two wins, two draws and two defeats. “I’m going to act.

“I’ve done enough watching, listening and learning about individuals. Now it’s a time when I will sit down with the chairman and push one or two things through.

“The group dynamic at the minute is such that I would like to bring more leaders into this football club, people who have a desire to win consistently – and not just showboat when you’re 3-1 up.”

Bar a new one month loan and what could be seen as a loan extension. We are all still waiting.

Paul Cox has said we need more quality in the side. Where is it?

Apparently Stevenage wanted to keep him when his loan ended but he wanted to return to the North West as his girlfriend is pregnant. Would be a massive signing .

I would slit my wrists - how he ever made a living from football I do not know.
