I realise that but the website link still says barrowbc, and you still have to put Barrow into a search engine. Perhaps Google haven't caught up yet, or maybe it's because the link still says barrowbc, and the council have more important things to do like give people planning permission even though they may have applied for it late!

Like the GMV, we as the Trust been asked not to go in- otherwise you'd have had almost daily 1901 updates with me pontificating on building work I know nowt about as per. There's a couple of reasons I think but the club maybe could have just communicated them. I didn't feel it was my place to say and I expect Ian felt the same on the GMV side.

Whoever has told you has likely handled it poorly and you aren't psychic. But if we all packed in because of folk at the football have made us angry or upset then we'd have about 1000 in not 3000. I could rhyme off a long list of folk who have really got to me down the years, from boardroom to pitch. I will be, at points on many of those lists for others, again from boardroom to pitch.

All I think it is fair to say is lining up planning permission, the Safety at Grounds, The SGSA, utilities, traffic, etc isn't always easy. Then you need to time it with when the grant is released which covers half the cost (that has a ton of criteria). Chuck in a change of council and at least two of the officials involved are new to their roles.

I'll let folk draw their own conclusions from that except to say that while there's plenty I am not in agreement with personally, regarding matters Barrow AFC (the under 16 rule being the biggie) I personally don't think this underlying issue has arisen because of the club.

On a cheerier note, drove past the ground a couple hrs ago & noticed both basic structures are up, fully seated with roofs. Just all cladding etc to finish.
