I just don't want our team getting tarred with the same critisisms as those Barrow lads who cause trouble at games. Thats not what this club should be about

You been speaking to all the fans of the clubs we've played then, presumably?
Nah, course you haven't.
You seem angry about this. It's just clear to see that many fans of teams we have played are voicing their displeasure at the blatent tactics of [SwearFilter] Barrow AFC are using at the moment.
If you have a look at any football forum including this one, Dave, they all have a large number of people who are "one-eyed" and see nothing wrong with anything done by their own team and everything wrong if it's done by the opposition. Every goal their own team scores is brilliant and every one by the opposition is lucky or offside. Their own players are angels and the opposition contain the dirtiest and nastiest players ever known to man. If their team loses, the referee is useless although he's often useless even if they win! You just need to ignore most of the things you read or keep away from football forums!

Again, this is irrelevant if the word around the internet is that Barrow bend the rules to win games. Once the word is out its hard to change.

There's no "rule bending" going on - you'd see that if you'd been to any games. We have a hard working/battling team that can actually play a bit as well.
We've been crying out for a manager/team like this for a long time.

Very strange to assume I haven't been to any games. I sponsor a lot of things Barrow AFC related and attend corporate every home game. So don't be telling me what I have seen and haven't seen Paul. Thats just not right.

If you do corporate you must have had a good view of Nathan getting cleaned out vs. Chesterfield. Assume this is the "Getting players sent off" comment you're referring to.
Also money invested doesn't align with validity of opinion

I was appauled to see Firths time wasting and play acting against Leyton Orient. That wouldn't have happened in the days of Colin Appleton. He would have smacked him one!

Its called closing out the game to get the right result. So if he bounced up and hoof it down the field and the opposition scored off it you would be happy?

I'd like us to win with dignity. Teaching the children that watch behind the goal to be a bad winner isn't positive. It's not part of the Barrow brand.

So Colin Appleton 'smacking [Firth] one' would have been acting with dignity? Would that be part of the "brand"? A good example for children?

Clearly has to be a non-footballing person or still living in the stone ages.
Lets assume its the Champions League final, I’m sure you would see Messi or Ronaldo shepharding the ball in the corner flag to waste time if 1 up on 90 mins. Are you going to argue they get a bad rep and bring a bad name to Barcelona/Real?

You don't play to participate Dave you play to win in my eyes
