praise the lord.
not a lot has been said or mentioned on here about what a brave and positive appointment the chairman
and the board made by appointing Ian evatt. With a reduced budget we are seeing some of the best football to be seen
at holker street for many a year, still early days but thought it was right to give them some praise for a change as they got dogs last season.
well done. long may it continue.

*Than*
Re: praise the lord.
It has occurred to me that it is a very happy coincidence that the two players we have seen who were signed pre-Evatt seem to fit the 'comfortable on the ball' style of play that Evatt likes. Full marks for Paul Ogden if he was responsible.
Re: praise the lord.
Admittedly things are looking great on the pitch. We are getting a reputation for a nasty, cheating side however at the moment. Plus we are only 4 games in, still plenty of games left yet. Lets take it one step at a time.

From reading other teams forums/twitter etc the general consensus from the more well rounded individuals is that we are a hard working good footballing side.
Don't shit your knicks because some morons can't accept that little old Barrow won't roll over for the bigger boys.

Re: praise the lord.
You been speaking to all the fans of the clubs we've played then, presumably?
Nah, course you haven't.

Re: praise the lord.
When I saw the list of possible future Managers I must admit I would have gone at the time for the Welsh bloke Kevin Nicholson but credit where credit is due what a brilliant appointment Ian Evatt has been. What a transformation it was only a few short weeks ago that people were having a moan on this site about the reduced playing budget and Paul Ogden bringing in players before the new manager took over. Granite and Hindle have been a sensation hopefully when Mullholland is fully fit he'll be the same. It's very early days still but it all seems to be moving in the right direction. The only downside is we seem to be getting hit on the injury front. The current success makes you realise how much money was wasted during the Cox era imagine what Evatt could achieve on a similar budget.
Re: praise the lord.
You seem angry about this. It's just clear to see that many fans of teams we have played are voicing their displeasure at the blatent tactics of [SwearFilter] Barrow AFC are using at the moment.
