Amazing that you know that Sea is not good enough
3 managers deem him not good enough otherwise he would make the match-day squad.

I suspect that is enough evidence for most.....although there is some weird obsession with him hitting one shot sweetly and people thinking that makes him a quality player.
And on the 7th day god created football

Agreed. We haven't seen enough of Sea to know whether he is a good player or useless. Harry the Pan once scored with a great shot and nobody thought he was a star.

How's all this being funded, can't see us being able to shift many players out.

That's my worry, 33 playing staff is ridiculous in this climate, we are paying the price for allowing dunn to bring in a load of dead wood that no one else will take of our hands

So what would you have done, carried on with as you said dead wood and risk relegation or take a risk. I'm sure Paul is all over the figures.

Not seen enough of him to judge, but the fact that Dunn and Jolley haven't included him often /at all may be a clue?
Wouldn't use Dunn's judgement to reinforce your views!

Yes it will be tricky as a few of them are Conf North standard at best, and teams in that league will be reluctant to sign our rubbish whilst league is suspended

Suspect we may have to carry most of them for the rest of the season. Though we are at least half a dozen heavy we will have an intensive period leading up to the end of the season. Our problem with quality in the squad is variable. Some are just not good enough, some prone to repetitive injury and some are good enough for a period in a game or for a game but for reasons usually of age cannot replicate it game after game. Brown, Hird, the two Taylors, Ntlhe. One of Dunns problems was that after one or two of his original signings bombed or got injured he ended up putting faith in those that for one reason or another could not deliver consistently even throughout a whole game. Hence why we became a nearly team.

Even if the new recruits blossom there will be times when we are short (we play 23 games in near enough 3 months) and some of the "excess" squad will add value as periodic replacement or impact players. It might ultimately be the difference between staying up or not. I might be accentuating the positive but as long as we can carry them for a few months I'd rather have too many than too few

Except they can't play because only a limited number can be registered. There will ultimately be some players just making up the numbers in training.

correct Moribund - the excess will have to be de-registered from our League 2 squad - for example i could see Jason Taylor de-registered and if he doesn't go out on loan getting involved in the coaching side which will help the club and help Taylor once his playing career has finished.

Who would’ve thought it!
🤔Hmmmm! I’m sure Ryan Giles had a birthday at the same time last year!😉
