The new 1700 capacity terrace at Maidstone cost around £750,000, if media estimates are to be believed. Within which we will spend £90,000 on changing rooms for youth team and toilets. Probably a similar sum in the future to add catering facilities. Think our original basic ground cost £4,000,000+. Our site was ex MOD land, with a cheap loan from the council, who also own a strip of land we need for expansion. I guess the answer to the original question is, it depends on the quality of what you want being the first consideration.

Perhaps contact food outlets kfc, burger king or pizza places?
Why would we want be associated with businesses that don't give a [SwearFilter] about the nation's health? Just because Linaker is happy to suck Walker's Jersey Royals doesn't mean we have to try and mount the fast food greasy bucket.
Why not tap into financial support from some of the big boys? Im no fan of fast food but if it meant they could financially support the club?
Being blinkered to opportunity will only hold everything up! Ultimately we all want a fit for purpose ground that we can all enjoy!

Why couldn't we encourage more local businesses? How many pie shops do we have? We need to reach out to various companies instead of just another fast food joint.

How was that financed ? Thats a lot of cash for there owner to have stumped up surely.
Sorry if this has been answered already. BUT!
Fyldes new owner has financed their brand new stadium and also the redevelopment of their old ground into a new training complex. by leasing out 4 buildings all on 99 year leases to very high profile customers Aldi, BP, KFC and Starbucks. They also have an excellent bar/ function suite(Bradley's bar) and a lot of office space which is used by BAE for corporate events and training.
I hate being envious even sometimes jealous of our rivals but fylde are doing it right. We don't have that option at holker street but we do have a lot of thinking to do. What if?? We do go up.? Are we even allowed into the football league with our current facilities.
Are you a former member of this forum in disguise? Seriously; a good post!
Let's face it...Holker Street is a dump! And it has been for a long time...too long! As for renovating it. I wouldn't bother - a brand new stadium is what we need to inject some new interest into the club.
The only stadium I've seen that has been renovated is Home Park- Plymouth Argyle. I often attended games when I lived down there. Home Park was similar to Holker Street. One open roofless end, old fashioned stands, old terracing, a shabby old ground. The only thing going for it was its location in Plymouth Central Park - the only football ground, as far as I know, to be accessed via a Public Park.
I attended a game a few years back when they played Notts Forest. What a make-over! Work still needs to be carried out on the one remaining old stand - the Lyndhurst Stand - all the other three sides are seated and enclosed with a roof similar to Wembley. They probably renovated it instead of moving because of its picturesque setting in the park. Holker Street is no beauty spot so let's move!

There is a bar at the ground.
Good logic, fruitcake. Relevance etc?
Carling and WKD and whoever else also don't care about the nation's health. Barrow AFC sell their products.

Arrhhh...yes; but St James Park isn't in the Park.
Home Park actually resides IN Plymouth's Central Park. A lovely setting for a Football Stadium...

Aldershot's "the rec"?
Don't know if it is within or adjacent to a park.
Salisbury used to be within a public park.
