I’d absolutely be looking at Matt Smith. Can’t run but he is an absolute pain in the arse, can hold the ball up and link up play and knows where the basket is. Not the complete answer to our striker needs as we need someone with pace too but with the right deal it’s a no brainer for me! We all know Wild’s view on ‘good people’ first and although I’ve always thought he came across as a bit af an arse, I watched an interview he did earlier in the season and came across as a really nice and grounded guy. Interesting one this!

Also Elliott Watt released. He is a very decent player in L2, with a good pedigree. I wonder if he is “a good lad”?

I don’t know, but at 35 maybe thinking about other things. All I know he was an ever present in their side, so clearly staying fit and clearly a goalscorer. A player with his eye for goal could bring on Aquah / Garner’s game.

Beat the Club to it either released or turned down new offer, good player this season same it didn`t end well for him sent-off after 22 mins v Gillingham suspended for next 3 games and subbed after 50mins v Mansfield, will have known problem finding a league 2 Club next season.
