Thats exactly what I'm saying,people haven't and,never will turn up in the numbers needed.

I think as a town, we either want it or we don't? Its a bloody shame as I know I would like to see us progress..

Its a mixture of both.

For most of the town Barrow AFC isn't something they are particularly bothered about. On the other hand the club seem to think fans are one day just going to turn up. Need to start taking some risks to get the gates up because its not going to happen on its own.

Its like Saturday league football at the moment, it has hit hard times recently. People have other things to be doing on a Saturday that take priority over playing. I get so frustrated because some lads of about 19/20 would rather just go away to Manchester for the weekend for a gig/festival and football is second choice.

Putting the prices down on non league day is a good step. But mentioning it once on the main site/twitter isn't enough. You can almost prepare for the club saying " well we tried this but no one showed up".
Its a cycle of the club presenting the original idea, neglecting the promotion of it, then getting annoyed when it doesn't work. If it doesn't work then the next step is to find out why it didn't work to make changes for next time.

Should be hiring one of those ad vans that do laps of town with the clubs next game at a discounted price banded all over it. It should be in the evening mail every day until the game now just once at the bottom of report on Micky Moores injury crisis. Get a boosted post on facebook for a week its about £6 and it reaches tens of thousands!

Loads of people in town these days begging for donations to charities. Get in amongst them with flyers up until dinner time on the day of the game.

Getting people in is the easy part, its making the experience good enough so that when they get there, they will come again in the future.

And thats the thing isn't it,if this idea was put into fruition and people turned up-lets say for the Torquay Game-,am pretty damn sure they wouldn't come back again !.
It comes back to it again and again,three key players,or more,let go and not replaced. Its obvious people are not prepared to support the club,but people will not go and watch a club that appears to be going backwards.

Several people have if they have enough finance and a love for their club. Jack Walker at Blackburn and Steve Gibson at Middlesborough both had Premier clubs without anything like the support normally required for that league. Andy Pilley at Fleetwood and Dale Vince at Forest Green Rovers similarly at a lower level. I'm sure there are many more similar stories in Premier and Football league history of people investing large amounts of money with zero chance of anything but losing money.

He has done since they disturbed the land digging the trenching for the new floodlights. Mainly glass though, oh and there was that pot full of gold sovereigns, but he just buried it again hoping some more would grow.
