Ian Evatt having a little go at I presume John Goodwin in his post match interview - the football wasn’t as good as we have seen but still far better than we’ve had the past couple of seasons. We needed that second goal because we were under pressure - great win onwards and upwards
It amazed me that within 15 minutes of the final whistle he knew what the "co-commentator's" views had been. Does he really get briefed on what BBC RC say so quickly after every game?!
Maybe the Donald had tweeted him.
Hopefully Ian will apologise .
I do not know John Goodwin but he seems to be passionate about Barrow AFC
Glad we got our first win in 5
Think Ian showed how he felt under pressure with the misquote attributed to John Goodwin,
I bet it was a North Korean sorry US mole telling him to respond, nice if someone asked him who gave him th aze quote or are we all being bugged
Holker Street might look like a building in North Korea but we have free speech.irrespective of what's going on.,very little news seems to come out of the club.but thats what happens when you have Great Leader

Its simple, there wasn't 700 kids on freebies
Are you saying the figures were made up?
A lot of those that got free tickets may have been there anyway and would have paid. The gate was given a boost by the tickets, but there still would’ve been over 1000 today.

It may have also been the presence of Bayliss bringing that mad burst out in him.

Where did you get your figures? The distributed or attended?
The figures were announced over the loudspeaker and are confirmed in Barrow Lad New’s report on the game. Parents had to pay so surely they are not counted as part of the freebies. What is the point of that? Actually if you go on the figures announced disregarding the handful of away fans who would pay anyway you are looking at a total of 755 paying.

Great result today and a much needed one for confidence. The clean sheet will really benefit the squad also. Maidenhead are a tough team to beat and rarely lose by more than one goal. That second goal was massively needed as you could tell there was a lack of confidence in the way we invited pressure on so easily. Very strange to see Firth spill the ball; nearly allowing them to score, but thankfully we kept it out. Everyone makes mistakes and has been very impressive this season, making a great save in the second half too.
This win should hopefully allow us to play with some freedom now as we have the monkey off our back. Gateshead is an opportunity to get another three points and go into the Dover game with positive minds. Great stuff.

Why? I am merely repeating what was announced so if there’s an error it’s not with me.

Very enjoyable game... Taylor my M.o.M. by a mile. Looks a very good player and vocal, lead by example.
Some very good football played and everyone worked hard.
All in all a good day at Holker St.
Let’s just enjoy the 3 points and leave Goodwingate for others. Never 700 kids in the ground either so we can move on from Kidgate. The shit stirrers just don’t like us winning.

Well at least on Tuesday there will be no freebies so let’s hope we get some real attendance figures and hope they are good after such a good result today.
Here’s to another good win on Tuesday. The more wins the merrier and a help to climbing up the table. The football is the best we’ve seen at HS for many a day.

If anyone is claiming that 700 freebie tickets were handed in at the turnstiles then I'm also calling bullshit on that.

Good result by the lads.1st was superb,we just couldnt find a 2nd goal to be comfortable.Young Holden had pretty good 1st half, plenty of skill there.Left back Nobby-davies too was excellent throughout.Taylor and Rooney are really a good pairing in midfield. Its yonks since we have such solid two in there.Everything seems to go through Rooney he is the heart of the team.Pretty pleased with us so far.The ref was absolute gash by the way.Keep it up lads you are a joy to watch.

I think the numbers you've heard are given out, not used.

There’s no way the attendance would have been 700 and something without the free tickets

Considering the turnstiles on the popular side were not open until 2.20 pm you are right.
