Barrow v Maidenhead.
Barrow v Maidenhead.
Massive game for the team today. I don’t want us to be talking at 5 o’clock about missed chances and compliments from the other team’s manager. They need to get out there and put it all together and back up the good football with a win in front of a bumper home crowd. We can’t keep looking back at missed opportunities. Plus it makes Saturday night a whole lot better. COYB!!

Whilst I agree with the sentiment whole heartedly Jonty, I suppose the question you need to address is if at 5pm tonight you were to report back that after a boring dour Cox like back-to-the-wall performance , BAFC achieved a 1-0 win courtesy of a break away goal against the run of play and then clung on for a vital 3 points incurring 5 yellow cards in the process would this still make your Saturday night feel as good?
Missing chances and conceding late goals is probably the most infuriating thing that can happen especially if it develops into a sequence. But at least we are continuing to create them and I wouldn't want the style of play and approach to the game to change much even if there remains a risk in doing so. Keep the faith.

Been thinking about where we are this week, and despite results the thing that struck is that I'm actually getting excited about going to watch them week in week out. At times ladtvyear felt as though it was too much trouble almost.
Still early days, happy to go along with the ride

A reference back to the Cox era? My sentiment is about the here and now and turning these performance into results.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Sat Sep 22, 2018 11:12 am Whilst I agree with the sentiment whole heartedly Jonty, I suppose the question you need to address is if at 5pm tonight you were to report back that after a boring dour Cox like back-to-the-wall performance , BAFC achieved a 1-0 win courtesy of a break away goal against the run of play and then clung on for a vital 3 points incurring 5 yellow cards in the process would this still make your Saturday night feel as good?

I would always rather have 3 points on a Saturday regardless of how we got them
