2 soft goals the Midfield just didn't gel ,Cameron tried but we've absolutely nothing up front, we just looked lethargic and slow all over the pitch, Murray won't be happy about that yes they're a good side but we seemed to give them too much respect!!

Scott Smith try as he might should be nowhere near our team, contributes nothing but yellow cards. Harper was anonymous and MJ just committed foul after foul. We need to try offload Earing and Barkhuizen to free up some wages and add another midfielder and forward or it’s going to be a long season.
Not to overreact but we can already see and know the weaknesses. Is there still a way back for Barkhuizen here perhaps as last resort…

I must have listened to a different game then. Sounded like we matched them for the most part and a mixture of could've done better/well taken goals were the difference. At no point was one side dominant and it never sounded like it was a case of when not if we were going concede, which was the case for the majority of last season.

After all the pre season hype and those attending Friendlies saying we looked good I’m afraid that performance was disappointing imo.

Yep. Lacked quality at key moments and once again thats the difference between the sides.

Yes we lost 2-0, but as 1st games go away to one of the favourites it wasn't as bad as a lot on here are making out. Other than his miss Cameron actually had a decent game. We probably created as much as they did and had the disallowed goal not been offside we probably would have ended with a 1-1 draw.
It will take us time to gel.
And at least we didn't go 1-0 up and lose 3-2 at home to Worthing...

So we lost the first game of the season against probable promotion candidates.
We are still building, judge again after 10 games.

Getting beat against Hartlepool away is no disgrace can see why they're one of the favourites and they will be up there.
Didn't think there was much in the game overall a lot of it played in between both boxes and no team really created anything. We struggled in the final third and ultimately that's where the difference was today you get what you pay for with their two goals. How Cameron is still at the club is beyond me, unless Reid is the answer realistically can we really see Cameron or Rose scoring the goals to get us challenging? Be shocked if either of them get to 10 goals.
Only the first game with a new team and manger and a long season keep the faith!

It wasn't a great game but we only kept them out because we sat far too deep and packed the midfield but by doing this we hardly created anything but we'll see just can't see any quality in midfield or up front!

We were utter shite last season, this was the 1st game against one of the favourites...can't really compare the 2 can you?
