Season long loan. Good addition.

If Lillis has already signed we'd need none and if he hasn't then we'd need one. No club at this level needs to carry more than 2 goalkeepers. If either of them gets injured, a club is always allow an emergency loan for another goalkeeper.Jonty wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 2:27 pm
Well on that basis we need to get two more keepers in where we are clearly light. He’s got the core of his squad there including 4 strikers. Add Hindle there’s 5. Any more coming in now will surely be loan cover, at least up to the next window. As for goals, Luke James, Angus, Penfold, Hardcastle, Kay, (Hindle possibly) takes your pick. One or more of these needs to step up and be returning double figures next season.
"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

That was the season before - he fell out of favour last season and started five league games and five sub appearances.russell_anderson wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 4:45 pmHope so! Biggins looks a much better prospect. 24 years of age and made 23 appearances in League 1 last season.the ray wilkie stand wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 4:39 pm Does Biggins signing rule out Danns getting a contract?

Correct, although he made 10 League 1 appearances last season according to wiki.Moribund wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 5:12 pmThat was the season before - he fell out of favour last season and started five league games and five sub appearances.russell_anderson wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 4:45 pm Hope so! Re: New Signings Rumours
Isn't that supposed to come from the second one? Even Pompey near the top of League 1 have never had more than 2 senior goalkeepers.Jonty wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 5:08 pmIts competition.russell_anderson wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 4:48 pm I'd say the last thing we need are 2 more goalkeepers. Re: New Signings Rumours
Signed contract he originally turned down at Mansfield. Rumoured they are likely now to free one of their other strikers. Andy Cook anyone ?

Re: New Signings Rumours
Doubt it - they are spending big wages on James Vaughan up front. Can't see them having Cook alongside him.whitty1969 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 10:06 pmCookie maybe going back to Tranmere even though Mellon has gone
Re: New Signings Rumours
Goalkeeper definitely - rumoured to have signed one
Midfielder???? - seem to have signed a few but a couple can play at the back as cover. Maybe missing a goal scoring player like Rooney but maybe a few of the new lads might chip in a few each? Rather than 1 player...
Striker - I think Angus will do ok this year and if Quigley plays like last season then great. James will play well but doesn't score many and i can see Penfold being a winger or not playing much so we ideally want someone who will push for a starting shirt. Obviously no one knows how we'll do but if we can score 50 goals this season compared to 69 last year and can defend like i know we can then we would comfortably be still in this league at the end of the season. Mind you a few 1-0 scores would do as i can't see us playing as open as last season but that might not be a bad thing as this league is tough....
