A real let down tonight started ok a few corners etc but Doncaster settled first and soon put the pressure on.Abysmal defending for the first goal and an awful sloppy howler from Cameron soon after gifted them another.Feared we would get right hammering but when we scored late on before half time had a small hope that we would be rejuvenated and play better second half.
We did come out a bit more galvanised bur Doncaster upped their game and we hadn’t the skill/desire to match them.Thought a draw tonight would have been good result after Saturdays win but we were miles off it.Interesting Aqua on nearly all game and Presley only late substitute..I know we not seen lot of him but not over impressed so far.Next week match v Newport away will define rest of season.Newport on bad run will want to suck us into the relegation fight which we are on edge of.Need outer players to go forward more over halfway line and when defending be strong and organised cos we look shaky everytime someone runs at us and look panicked.Becreal test of new managers motivational skill and team selection. We must all pray he gets it right.
Only plus is we have scored in both last two games.

Tonight showed what a big job the new manager has on his hands. Not outplayed or battered but beaten by a far better team who didn’t really have to work that hard. Poor goals conceded, individual errors and we never really threatened their goal and a keeper who didn’t look the best. The season end can’t come quick enough and you just hope the bottom few don’t put a run together where they can catch up.
Worryingly even our better players aren’t performing right now. Farman is chucking goals in, Jackson looks shot of confidence and defensively we look suspect.
Upfront same old there’s bits and pieces but feeding off scraps and no real threat.
The subs made us worse tonight and we never looked like really getting back in it. Mahoney pulled out of anything near a Donny player, Newby beat his man twice then failed to get a cross in and Tiensa put one pass straight over the popular side under no pressure. Not good enough.
I can’t see how we’re not in a relegation fight really with 3 wins in 20 and the odd Fleetwood or Grimsby win aside which are the exception rather than the norm.

Our new manager has hardly any time to sort our team out,but with Saturday's win and despite us getting beaten,I think.overall we have improved. If our new manager is given time I think we will definitely end up.with more wins than loses.
He looked absolutely gutted at the end. Shows at least that HE cares, even if some of the players seem not to.

We reverted to type in the first half. In the second there was, at least, intent. Once he's tightened us up we'll be OK. Pitch didn't help, mind.
I think the pitch helped Donny to two of their goals combined with lapses of concentration of course.
The pitch is as bad as I’ve seen it at this stage of the season for a lot of years! I know we’ve had some bad weather but so has everyone else. It’s certainly not helping matters at the minute despite the win against Grimsby on Saturday.

We aren’t in a relegation battle yet, but Carlisle/morecambe put a little run together and we don’t improve, we soon will be. Whing needs to have a good look at what he has available and make some changes. For me Farman, Cameron, Jackson, Mahoney, and Aqua shouldn’t be on the pitch.

They were just better than us and you can see why they are where they are in the league, so no great shame at all.
We weren't battered, mistakes were made and that cost us massively.
Would have hooked acqua off half time and put Elvis on, just think he pips acqua in terms of touch, and positioning. Acqua runs no doubt but just doesn't seem to be in the right places and his first touch is still poor.
Pitch looks bloody awful, can't blame that on result but despite the poor weather, it just looks like it was scalped too short which makes it look thread bare and consistently, the ball bobbles and moves fast akin to an old astro turf!
We go again Saturday and I just hope we pick up some much needed points.

Regarding the pitch the Dave Day Celebration weekend on June 21/22nd Holker Street is being used for a Celebrity Football match so like this season work on the pitch will be late in starting, from the match highlights and looking at it the pitch is in a very poor state.

Great cause ofc but not ideal tbh; needed a proper summer of work on it starting immediately after the season ended this time, be close between us and Fleetwood as to who has the worse pitch in the league
Few mentions of Mahoney above; if we carry on with this formation he just doesn’t have a position does he? Unless we manage to ship them out and bring someone in surely better having Garner or Telford to come on for Smith (can understand why he went off last night personally; he hasn’t had a lot of football, we were huffing and puffing without really creating anything and we’ve a bigger game Saturday)

I don't have a Sky subscription and have to subscribe to Now TV so don't watch many games, but I have just realised that every game I watch seems to have a major blunder: Morecambe last season and Chester's slip leaving someone through on goal, Chelsea and Farman's comedy of errors (though not so costly), and now Cameron.

That just proves how unprofessional as a club we are ,thought Dave was a great ambassador for Barrow, but ( hopefully) we are and EFL club let's act like one!

Andy Whing should have been brought in ,in November then he would have had time to assess the squad and decide where we need strengthening etc. He's got a massive job on his hands he needs to pick player's who will bust a gut for the club!

Firstly this shows what a dire situation Clemence left us in
The Manager has been in less than a week.
If you said to me after 2 games we would have had 2 points I would be happy coming from the position we were.
I feel Andy is the ideal man.
He wants to succeed and his progression from his two previous teams to Barrow is a sign of that.
Newport is a must not loose game a point would be good 3 better.
I feel what's left of the season is about getting over the line and I think we will.
I said Stanway was not up to it but he has had some good games, maybe Farman should be dropt along with a change of defenders

Yeah if we continue this system the front two have to be mobile and interchange, we've tried this system earlier and I don’t think we honestly have the players to play it ,we're too slow to move the ball during transitions!
Sure Whing can see this but he's caught between a rock and a hard place!

To many people trying to dissect what went wrong, nothing went wrong we were just beaten by a far better side who imo are certs for promotion. Aim this season is for safety and i think this team is good enough for that. Forget this one, Saturdays game is the biggy.
