Wembley 1990 Auction - Signed by Wilkie

Post by Uncle Peter » Fri May 03, 2013 11:57 pm

Some new bits and bobs added to the megastore at www.bdfsoccershop.com including an exclusive signed ball.

We also have something really, truly special which we will be auctioning off. The item itself is a signed football, but what makes this item really special is that it was signed by the Wembley 1990 team at the time of the game and includes the signature of the late, great Ray Wilkie.

This auction will be mainly held on the forum, but we will be taking bids on Facebook, Twitter and in person. All bids will be posted here. Rich will post some pictures at some point over the weekend.

I'll start the ball rolling at £20.

Is it possible to send an email to every email address registered on here? If it is and and easy could one not be sent with link to bdf shop, ste's canvass prints, membership of club.

I realise a lot of the 2000 registered forum accounts are spam, supporters of other clubs and colty, also could be people who don't visit this site anymore. this could also get a few quid in.

Just an idea.

Doing this on my phone, had to edit 3 times. I'm useless.

Bump.

Worth more than 50 quid surely, any other takers?

Will give this another couple of days.

We have had a bid of 100 pounds, from a gentleman who wishes to remain anonymous.

Many thanks to anon!

Do we know if the club has an item such as this to put on show - it certainly is part of our history?

Not sure. It was donated to us with the caveat that it was used to raise money so i don't feel we can override that.

Saying that, if a bidder, or bidders, wanted to club together on the basis that we get a display case and put it in the bar for all to see then that would kill two birds with one stone.

Hope you can see our dilemma on this.

I'll quite happily put in a tenner if supporters want to club together to put it on show, it's an important part of our history that should belong where we can all see it.

The club get to keep it & you get your money for the BDF.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Count me in for a tenner. This sort of memorabilia would be great on display.

so current joint bid- £40 ...
