UK Media descends on Barrow AFC

On Saturday the uk's media will descend on the FBS Stadium to cover the confirmation of Pauls takeover of the club. Sky TV & BBC TV, along with BBC Radio and The Bay will be interviewing Paul, the board and fans around the ground before and after the game. this is massive for the club and gives us exposure normally reserved for football league clubs.

In the ticket office we will be giving away free flags to every under 11 in attendance (whilst stocks last!), in an attempt to turn the Stadium into a sea of blue.

Please get down early to sample what will be a party atmosphere, we'll have facepainters on hand for the kids and Bluey will be meeting and greeting the next generation of Barrow Fans. The bar is open from 12 and we'll have more gates than ever open to get you into the ground as swiftly as possible.

Please get down, as the club attempts to make the top spot its own.

Very pleased the club are going well etc but even if any of the banners were still there they would be out for the team and the town, not the telly. It's a clever move by PC though, tacking on to non league day with a good angle for producers looking for something for their camera crews to do.

About half who normally stand together are abroad today but that doesn't mean it has to be like a morgue.

There were at least three live reports on SSN from Holker Street yesterday between 11am and 2pm, including interviews with Paul Casson and Darren Edmondson. Today, there was a resume of the presentation to Brian Keen between 7am and 8am. No game action was shown this morning though there was some from The Dripping Pan at Lewes FC, Sky's other featured non-league club. Overall, very, very good publicity for Barrow AFC.
