Holding cars back after games

I have sent a letter (Dec 12 2015) into the club regarding the issue of vehicles not being held back until the fans have cleared from the popular side roadway. On two occasions i have witnessed people have their arm clipped by car drivers trying to squeeze past , which has led to heated exchanges between the people involved! In my opinion if this issue isn't resolved every home game its only a matter of time before someone is more seriously injured or worse.
It is an easy fix in my opinion hold the traffic back until the pedestrians have gone then let the cars go ! If the car drivers don't like it they can park elsewhere .
I've not had a reply from the club yet so hence this post , i hope somebody acts on this.

Some lights on that side would be good too - I asked someone about that 5 years ago after almost putting my foot in a big hole which is covered with a temporary piece of steel

Your dead right. This has been a big issue for many years now - its a wonder nobody has been hurt yet.
Dont hold your breath though. The club seem to care very little about supporters comfort and safty untill their hands are forced

Just a quick thought (and I haven't looked into this yet) but could a temporary barrier running down the exit track about two thirds of the way across for cars & the remaining third for pedestrian help? I realise that people would still need to cross in front of cars at the actual exit itself but that wouldn't be too dissimilar to people crossing a busy road.

we must have a risk assessment for this,if not we should have because if somebody gets hurt the club would be in trouble(that`s only if we own the land!)

Held back yesterday by three stewards but some cars parked between there and the road. I didn't see any of them moving before I left but was at the end of the crowd (waited in the ground until I stopped sobbing) so maybe someone had moved already.

The steel not quite covering the opening is a problem but it may be that BAFC don't own some or all of the land behind the pop side so are unwilling to assume responsibility for repairs.

After speaking with the police & Mike Forsyth it looks like we are ok to try the temporary barrier I mentioned earlier. I'll get down sometime over the weekend to measure up for what we need. Hopefully this will suit both drivers and pedestrians rather than just holding back the traffic.
