Re: Grandy
It might not mean much to most but I always like it when you get a few words off players like Grandy after they leave a club, makes a nice change from players slating this, that and the other about their time at the club they've just left (or been released from)
All the very best for the future Grandy, most know you always gave it your all & players like that are always thought well of here.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Grandy
I remember when other players slunk off after losing at Halifax, Grand came over to face a fairly hostile bunch of fans to apologise. A club man with plenty of commitment and guts. All the best, Simon.

Re: Grandy
I believe that releasing Grand is one of the few bad decisions that Paul Cox has made in his time at Barrow. Not only do I think he is a very decent player but as we know and he has confirmed in his message his best friend is Danny Livesey who is one of the most important players in the team and one the manager certainly doesn't want to upset.

I also believe that Simon Grand was one player who faced the wrath of a supporter in the Crossbar after receiving a man of the match award.

Re: Grandy
Simon Grand actually "CARED" about playing football, regardless of who he played for. I have lost count of the spineless [SwearFilter] who have worn the Barrow shirt, including this season. I wish you all the luck in the world Grandy.

As far as I know that "supporter" was someone whom no one recognised and probably a "one-offer". Disgraceful behaviour.
Re: Grandy
I think it was the first game of the season against Dover, Grandy made one of the best goal line clearances I've ever seen. That sums up his attitude.

Re: Grandy
WTF....For the record Grandy has been a great wholehearted player for us and we thank him for that & wish him the very best in his future etc, but this comment is daft, we're not a Sunday pub team!!!!russell_anderson wrote:I believe that releasing Grand is one of the few bad decisions that Paul Cox has made in his time at Barrow.
