banning

Post by boyliegladbach » Sat Oct 29, 2016 8:52 pm

Saw a poorly written article in today's mail about a lad I've know for over 30years who's been given a ban.

In no way is this lad a threat, he might even have problems.
If he's a threat to people I'm Jeremy corbyn.

I despair at the policing of this game.

I've known jacko most of my life and he wouldn't say boo to a goose , to get banned for encroachment on the pitch is barrow police agin having an agenda, they don't do it to away fans when they come on the pitch . What is the point in us having a fans rep if all that ever happens is barrow fans get banned home and away and if away fans do anything at holker street nothing happens ?
The club are so far up the police's arse it's unreal. They single people out and they get victimised and the club go along with it and nobody does anything about it . This club will not have any true supporters left soon as he will have them all on banning orders .

How many away fans gone on pitch at Holker Street in last few years?

If people like jacko are picking up bans we might as well all stop watching. Bans for shouting will be coming soon.
In last 12 months we've had away fans on pitch at Holker St and away fans drinking bottles in ground in front of police and stewards.
No action taken. (not that I want that)

http://www.nwemail.co.uk/news/barrow/Dr ... c4f1645-ds

Was at the Chester game, hardly public enemy No1 is he!
If I remember correctly there was a congregation in the corner gesturing to the opposition and visa versa we scored and wrongly or rightly there was an over spill onto the dead ball area and Jacko followed or was pushed so encroachment of the pitch maybe is a little harsh! I'm sure there would be video evidence available!
Seen a lot worse on our patch especially with the Wrexham lot pulling their lad from the clutches of the law back into the terracing. It's nearly always case of one rule for one and another for others when it comes to our support!
Don't really see what the Supporters rep can be expected to do here tbh!

Lad is never a hooligan in a million years- easy target.

The rest of it in Barrow has been said a million times before

Nothing will happen here.

My childish side looks at that NWEM article and thinks: It's FBS stadium not Holker Street and it's Barrow AFC not Barrow FC. Therefore he can crack on and go to whatever game he likes.

So reading the article , he has a previous conviction for running on a pitch, maybe he should know better

Jeremy is a champion of better and fairer treatment for people with mental health issues and a real progressive in the area. The tory cuts to mental health care, support and respite for carers since they came to power are abominable.

As people have said, encroachment should be fairly dealt with and equally punished amongst offenders, there can't be one rule for one and another for who the police deem 'a potential trouble causer'. That's bullshit.
I wanna take you to an Away Bar

Why only one fan banned? If 30 to 50 fans went on the pitch why not ban them all? The rules are quite clear about pitch invasions
Just say no to VAR :sentoff:

If it's the Jacko I know, he is Barrow through and through and doesn't have a bad bone in his body. IF it is the same Jacko I think the club should seriously reconsider this.

Not sure what you mean there Andy.

1/ I knew absolutely nothing about this.
2/ It's a banning order made by magistrates, I couldn't have had any input in that whatsoever.

If it had been an incident between the club and a supporter then that's when I could've been involved. That scenario happened about two years ago when I was asked to attend a meeting in a supporting role (I wasn't fans rep then) for a fan who looked like getting a ban from the ground. We met club officials and the fans rep at the time, pleaded his case & managed to get the lad off with a "quiet word"

I don't know "Jacko" (or I don't think I do) and from what people are saying he sounds like he's a decent enough lad, but as I've said, it's a court case - absolutely nothing I could've done mate.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

He's done wrong going on pitch and he will know that, I just find the court and police statements and the mails reporting of the lad ridiculous.
