Couldn't make it up! Oh wait, they usually do. I hope.

Re: Richie Bennett
I spoke to Mike Wilson before and said I had heard this (admittedly not as many clubs as stated) so there could be an element of truth in it.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Re: Richie Bennett
Mentioned on.the Lincoln forum. They seem to think players are queuing up to leave as our 'sugar daddy' is pulling out !
Re: Richie Bennett
Of course there'll be interest in him, as there would any striker scoring 15+ goals. But that website is the worst of the lot - literally just scanning through the forums to see what they can rake up.
Carlisle have had this on their forum for a week or so, but it's all pure guesswork.

Re: Richie Bennett
My brother, since barred from this blog, told me back in November that Leeds had 2 scouts tracking Richie Bennett.

It's inevitable we're going to lose both Bennett & Anderton it's just a question of when.

The events of the close season highlight even more the madness of not offering Danny livesey a new contract.

I heard and i dont claim to be in the know but Livesey wanted a two year deal but the club were only prepared to offer him a one year deal.optomisticsupporter wrote:The events of the close season highlight even more the madness of not offering Danny livesey a new contract.

Re: Richie Bennett
Bennett to be next out of the door? Hope we obtain an adequate replacement and not another 'On Loan'.
The following quote was taken from last night's EM concerning the subject of Jordan Williams:
..."Those numbers are not thought to have been matched by his move to Spotland and it is unclear if any of the funds from the sale will be put back into the squad, with Barrow owner Paul Casson saying last month that was only a possibility should players be sold..."
That doesn't sound too optimistic, does it!
